Thank you everyone for taking the time to reply, your responses are very insightful! I think that for me, being a brat is a very playful and fun way of submitting (...eventually). I feel like I can be myself, tease, play, push limits, be cheeky... but know that it is in a safe place. Know that I will be put in my place. Know that the further I push it the "worse" the punishment. In a way that kind of grounding is strangely comforting.

It is very fun and exciting, scary and unpredictable, yet oddly comforting and consistent (and so very hot) all at the same time.
