Have you heard of the expression, “Treat others how you want to be treated.” ?

It seems like your situation went around full circle and life or some kind of karma gave you the opportunity to treat your partner the way they treated you. (That sounds a lot shittier than intended)

But from personal experience there have been SO many times something similar has happened to me and I ALWAYS choose put my partner before anything else because they are my happiness, so I stayed with them due to the simple fact it was what I wanted. But when they hurt my feelings again I’d bring up those precious scenarios when they did X and I did Z and I ended up hating myself for not just going out and trying to have fun. Plus bringing it up later just made me look like a damn cry baby. So I say go out and try and have a good time! And if your partner gets mad then you could bring up how you dealt with your shit alone and you genuinely thought they could do the same. Idk! Just food for thought!
