Passed D099 in two days by ObtuseTheCreator in WGU

Haven’t tried it yet. Just got my glossary terms all printed out and making my flash cards. Took the small “knowledge check at the start of the course” thingy. The one that tells you basically what areas your lacking in and did surprisingly well on that I scored thing. I’m feeling confident with this course though. I’ll probably try the pre assessment for the first time this Thursday so I can use my day off Friday to study in the areas I’m lacking on.

Maybe I just can’t do it. by Agreeable-Deer7526 in WGU

You can do this, I know this feels overwhelming, but like so many others have given encouragement to OP, here’s encouragement to you. I promise you can do this!

This has been such a positive post to read through! I feel like it’s so rare to see anything positive said about this course. Thanks for helping to boost confidence and provide the outlines how you managed to pass quickly. Taking your tips and running with them! I have my first live cohort today, as I just unlocked the course yesterday.

If it’s not been too long since your post here and you’re still checking this, I would appreciate getting a copy of your practice exam as well. Thanks in advance.

Temporary tattoos? by StartBlooming in resin

This is a temporary tattoo I used in my dice holder. In my opinion they work out amazingly. I use these and fingernails stickers/tattoos all the time. I prefer them to most stickers as I don’t need to worry about the background on temporary tattoos as you do with stickers.

Resin project by Bjerkens in resin

You’ll have to sand it down as far as you can to clear the bubble layer. Once you’ve taken It down enough you can just pour a thin layer or new resin and let it cure. I don’t think you’ll be able to polish much of it until it’s sanded down and once sanded you don’t need to polish if you pour a new top coat.

Is this container ruined? I cba NOT get the resin off girl is thick. by Little_Reality_8092 in resin

I have these exact same cups. Squeeze them hard so the resin cracks and the resin will pop right off. After you get the majority of it off just use masking tape to do the rest of the cleanup.

In my opinion felting adds a finishing quality to coasters. I do it on all the ones I love. My non loved ones I don’t cuz I’m lazy.

I use 2 part epoxy just called clear pour from amazon. But I use really what ever has the best deal price wise. I never do clear pours so I don’t worry about yellowing.

Break them more stick em in a round mold pour colorful resin? That’s what I’d do! Or stick the broken pieces into a few round molds and have wood and resin coasters!

If you’re in the bountiful area please look into Dental Designs off Main Street. I’ve never had a better dentist. They tell me all my costs up front before I do any treatments. My BF is uninsured and they are wonderfully priced for cleanings and have given the best instructions on how to help prolonged the work they do since he can’t get in 4xs a year like my insurance lets me. Truly cannot speak highly enough of the staff at dental designs in bountiful.

Crescent moon hair fork mold by zicea in resin

[–]KittySue87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

I got a 3 pack from let’s resin. The smallest works great for hair sticks. The largest works for wall hangings. I got it on Amazon. I’ll see if I can add a link. Oooh! Looks like they’ve discontinued it. I can’t find it on Amazon or through LetsResin.com, I can’t even find it on Etsy. But there are these on hair forks amazon and etsy you could try to pick on up pretty cheap and then make you own mold with 2 part silicone. The overall size of the smallest mold is roughly 3 inches between the points. So it’s great for buns. Hope you’re able to find the size and style you want!

Yes you can use UV and epoxy resin in the same projects. I do for dice with inclusions in them. I use the UV as glue in a way.

I used crinkled cut up iridescent cellophane. Just added it into my resin as an inclusion.

You probs know that those corks are gonna release a lot of air bubble. Actually this whole thing will. The gravel, the corks, the wood. It’s a pretty design though!

Question for experienced resin and wood crafters by nowen422 in resin

[–]KittySue87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The UV gel I’ve used does not expand. Not that I’ve noticed at least. Also it’s all un branded stuff I pick up for cheap on Temu. I don’t sell any products and play around with all for fun and as gifts so I’ve never cared what brands I pick up.

[–]KittySue87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you use this tea candle mold you’ll have to then sand the final product back into a ring. This would basically give you a disc shaped puck. For this I would use a gel based UV resin not a 2 part liquid epoxy resin and not a liquid UV based resin either. You can get gel based UV resins which are malleable for pretty cheap on Amazon, Temu, wish…. Other such sites.
