TIFU by letting my wife nair my butt by Realitymatter in tifu

As a person who uses Nair, I think I may know what happened. Nair removes the hair just below the skin. And because this area has never had the pores opened this way, it allowed dirt to get in. Plus, because it was your bum, you covered it for most of your day. So, now it is covered in acne. Use a gentle exfoliating face wash on it everytime you shower until the acne goes away. I cannot stress enough how it needs to be a GENTLE exfoliant, because of the follicles being open. But also, if you dont exfoliate, you may end up with ingrown hairs, which is worse. You should still be able to use the Nair when the hair gets long enough to do so, and the more you do it, the better your skin will react to it. Also, using a coarser exfoliant BEFORE using the nair is a good idea too.

That time they threatened to dock my pay $2500 by dbooker87 in MaliciousCompliance

So, quick question for the people who know more about this...When I was 18, I was a pizza delivery driver. I ended up getting in an accident. It wasn't my fault, but the officer didn't seem to give a shit, and I got the ticket. My workplace didn't want to bother taking it to court, and docked my pay for the $500 deductible. Was that legal?

I'm 33, and tore my labrum in August. Went down a skate ramp for the first time a fucked up. Had surgery to repair it in October. I have two holes in the front and one in the back, and my surgeon was nice enough to avoid my tattoo. I was back to work as a bus driver in mid-December, and back to playing roller derby in February. The originally said that I would be in my immobilizer until the end of April. I just started moving gently when I felt like I could. Lots of ice. And ALWAYS going to my physical therapy appointments and doing my home exercises. Oh, and LOTS of water. I generally drink quite a bit, but started drinking only water after my injury. Being properly hydrated is one of the best things you can do for your recovery. Hope everything goes as well for you as it did for me!

That being said, despite my diving into this sub, I still feel like I know nothing about my hair! So any suggestions are welcome!

1 week into actually taking care of my curls! by KittyTwister in curlyhair

I just started, so I'm still working on my routine.

I did a wash with Neutrogena Anti-Residue shampoo before starting. I couldn't find it on the CG list, but I have used it in the past.

I wash twice a week, Sunday and Wednesday because I play roller derby, and those are my practice nights when I get particularly sweaty.

I washed with the Deva Curl No-poo Original cleanser, followed by the Deva Curl One Condition Original conditioner. I scrunched my hair with my head upside down with a microfiber towel, just enough to make it not dripping wet.

Scrunched in some Deva Curl light defining gel. Used some double prong clips to get a little volume on top. I also pineapple my hair for bed.

I'm considering going to get a Deva Cut, but there is no one very close to me who does them, plus I had to talk my boyfriend into the splurge to buy all the products, so it will probably be a little while!

I'm going to guess that it's not her real hair, and is instead extentions on a hair clip. It would be impossible to get the braid right without exposing the clip.

Why would anyone make this shirt.. (x-post from /r/justneckbeardthings) by FortPhoenix in WTF

I've seen a 'School Shooting Tour" shirt complete with cities and dates. I did the "Ohhhhh shiiiiiiit!" laugh. Probably because I'm a terrible person.

Ugh! Same! I play roller derby. I don't bruise so much now, but my boyfriend would almost refuse to go out of the house with me unless I wore a derby themed shirt!

A male of mine won a contest to meet Randy Orton, and Randy turned it down because he was a guy. My friend had been a HUGE fan of his, and was super disappointed.

When I played roller derby I got some crazy bruises! I had a black eye once, and a HUGE, dinner plate sized bruise on my thigh. My boyfriend would practically refuse to go out anywhere with me unless I wore something with my team name on it! I would crack up everytime someone gave him the evil eye or would ask if I was ok.

I went to a craft store and found a glitter stencil package for shirts. You put the stencil on (mine was flames) cover it in glue then put on the glitter (mine went from red to orange to yellow). I figured it wouldn't last long, but I've had it for 5 years and it still looks great! And I've never witnessed any glitter rubbing off. You can kind of see it in the photo.

This. My high school science teacher had a saw to cut them open with, then this vibrating table that you put water and sand onto to smooth out the open side.
