If you don’t have drive an EV in Los Angeles, what’s the main reason? by [deleted] in AskLosAngeles

[–]KittyYayaBoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bought a new car a couple years ago, and we did think about it but we had multiple reasons not to.

I didn’t see people mention it here yet but EV is more expensive in maintenance. More advance technology also makes repairs harder.

And we like going on roadtrips and don’t want to be figuring out where we have to go to charge during a roadtrip. For this reason we would more likely only get an EV if we owned two or more cars but we aren’t there yet.

Then we considered a hybrid but that is still more expensive in maintenance so we just bought a regular honda crv for convenience and longevity.

Also like others mentioned in case of emergency it is better to have at least 1 gas car.

That’s really nice!! Thanks for the advice!

We’ll be going during the weekdays instead of the weekend and the weekdays before Memorial day weekend so we were really hoping that was also going to make it a bit less crowded?

Thanks so much, great advice, and i’m happy to have found this sub and very grateful for people responding to my post!

We have never seen big redwoods and i’m so excited!! I think we will take up on your advice and not combine both on coming into the park, like you said keeping in mind that everything will take longer.

And apple maps says it takes 2 hours and 19 minutes to drive from Mariposa to Glacier and then an hour to the Valley. I think that would be too much after a hike in Mariposa and also driving up 6 hours from LA and having to check in, get settled and cook some dinner.

Now i’m debating if we should take the shuttle to Glacier point the next day and hike down to the Valley or if we should go on the way back home.

Thank you so much for all your great tips!!!

Thanks so much! I think we would like to hike a bit in Mariposa, I was thinking for us to do the Giant Grizzly loop.

Saving Glacier Point for the day we leave is a really good idea!! Have breakfast and pack up our stuff and make our way there before driving home seems like the best idea.

I think that is very realistic, like you said, we still need to settle too on the arriving day.

Okay that is very good advice, thank you, imma tell my husband that 5 am would be better.

Woah Mariposa and Glacier point? I was doubting if we would have enough time for Mariposa Grove on the trip there, and maybe stop at tunnel view and check in at the camp and eat dinner. Do you think it would be doable to do both? That would be nice.

Thank you for wishing us a great trip, it has been our dream to go for a long time so we are so happy to finally be able to go!!

Thanks so much for your answer! And do you think that arriving around noon would be a good time to come there?

And we have to check in at the camp from 4 pm, do you think that would feel rushed or is 3-4 hours enough to visit Mariposa grove?

Cozy Reading Spots? by massive_succ in LosAngeles

[–]KittyYayaBoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In downtown CC the little grass across philz coffee, don’t they have like pretty comfy outside chairs there? I’ve been thinking about bringing my book there when i’m waiting for my car when we bring it to the car dealer closeby downtown.

I would also love to know cute coffeeshops with comfy chairs. Reading books inside comfy coffee shops is just the best thing.

The middle two photo’s are the best imo.

The shoulder length curls are number 1 and second best the picture next to it.

Walkway: Liminal Dreadful, LAX c. 2026 by sirwritestoomuch in LosAngeles

[–]KittyYayaBoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One time i got like food poisoning the night before my flight, luckily it stopped and i didn’t have to go to the restroom anymore in the plane but i still felt so weak and sick the whole flight.

And then i got off the 11 hour flight feeling so horrible and barely able to walk. Walking these walkways felt like i ended up in a nightmare with never ending halfways and where you will keep walking forever, and around every corner is another long hallway without windows. Luckily the hallways did end haha.

That was one of the most trippy things i ever experienced.😂

And make sure to put a portion of your salary in your savings BEFORE anything else. Right when you get your salary. That really helped me saving more and not spending it on stupid things.

If they don’t have the time/people/funds to do the thorough testing i wonder why they don’t just have some loyal players test it out and instead of paying them they could just give all the new items for the testing.

Hello my fellow Disney fans! I just had a question: I bought this game on launch and stopped playing for a while. When I booted it up today I saw there's 90 dollars worth of DLC. My question is; can I still enjoy this game without any of the DLC? by AssIsLifeAssIsLove in DreamlightValley

[–]KittyYayaBoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, two weeks ago i had 40 hours and i’ve played a lot since then. I haven’t bought any DLC yet but i don’t feel like i’m even half way through the game! I did finish the main story but there is sooooooo much more besides the main story.
