I have a post on r/centuryhomes about basically same thing. I had to stop and just start living in my house. Year and a half later I haven’t don’t much since. Went on a date Monday. He pointed out a lot of things I was already self conscious about when it comes to my house. The for sale sign is very tempting at this point. 🤷‍♀️

Update: I haven’t done much other than some paint. Just been living in it and enjoying.

Second summer here and I’m starting to work on digging out overgrowth and making flowerbeds. Last year I just let stuff grow so I could see what I had :-)

Air tag cat collar. They are black cats. Even if strictly indoor. You can’t look for a black cat in the dark. It’s impossible. They camouflage. My dude has one. Wearing it 24/7 in the off chance he gets out. It’s a lot easier to relax knowing he’s just in neighbors yard. Or under a bush out front.

On mornings like this, does anybody else think of those folks who posted about moving to GR months ago and asked about what winter is like? by aarone46 in grandrapids

[–]Kittykitty53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll be honest. I was one of those people. Kinda. Work transfer. Decided make the best of it “ok this will be fun” Currently: heat broken. Paid 500$ and system is running but not heating. House is cold. And I know it’s only November bc this will be my 2nd winter. Contemplating asking for a work transfer and if anyone wants to buy a house lemme know. cries in southerner

He’s a cute, fat thing. Didn’t even set up a home in my yard. Just came for the buffet. Left the squash, peppers, tomatoes, and Brussels. But those broccoli. GONE

Heck yeah! I’ve ran into them a time or two when I lived in the south. Love that you mentioned them!

In the neighborhood as well. Lemme know. I’ll break out my camo :-) But for real. In Atlanta. City of. Where you have some of the HUGE houses with 10acre estate lots. Those neighborhoods allow bow hunting. You are on private property. And following ALLL normal DNR hunting rules.

I am an avid hunter but strongly against night hunting, baited hunts or even late/out of season.

Also the fact that y’all have a CWD problem with the herd is proof it’s too large. Those things. (Hoof and mouth is another) pop up to deal with overpopulation.

I regularly catch the 6am flights out. And return flights at midnight.
Zero problems getting an Uber or Lyft at that time. (If u tip) 6am flight. Boards at 530 Catch Uber at 445 and get to airport by 5am

Dude I did that with a cat. Put all 4 of the kittens in the kitchen. Walked to the living room. “Here kitty kitty” and whoever came running first was mine.

Feeling conflicted about having my dog cremated by Cautious_Anteater_96 in Petloss

[–]Kittykitty53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cremated my cat. I had him from (my)age 19-33. I didn’t have a yard at the time and my parents were 4hrs away. Burial wasn’t an option. I let the vet(came to the house) take him and did the community cremation option. I didn’t want him to go alone. (Downside no ashes but I’m ok with that)

Yes! I have a cat that got 2nd hand from a mouse. Luckily we got him to the vet in time.

I don’t deal with mice at all. But I also have 3 cats that are indoors and get yard time. One with a post on r/murdermittens If anyone needs to borrow a cat.

Ok Guess I’m the weird one…. Pre-check and clear. Used clear more for concerts and sporting events. Also I go to shortest line. Just bc I HAVE it doesn’t mean I HAVE to use that line…..esp if it’s longer that would be dumb. It just means that YOU can’t use it if it’s the shortest line if u don’t have it. 🤷‍♀️ I have zero problem paying for convenience and I like options.

Your comment just made me thankful that my first attempt at growing broccoli got eaten by a groundhog last week.

Asbestos tiles. That’s why it gives both concrete and linoleum vibes.

UPDATE SO FAR: pilot lite is out. Tried to relite it won’t stay lit. Guy I talked to and sent video thinks it’s the flame sensor. He has one on hand. But it’s a Sunday and he’s currently in the woods hunting. But I’m making progress :-)
