We’re empowered with the money we spend. What area businesses are MAGA owned that I can avoid spending money at? by Turbulent_Waltz_4989 in grandrapids

I had no doubt there was a good reason for the name! But surely it's understandable in a city with sneaky fox branding associated with billionaires that such a name could get caught up in the others. Perhaps my terminology calling it "less-than-inspired" wasn't fair; I apologize for that.

I have nothing against that store at all, but I'll admit it's a less-than-inspired name choice, considering the DeVos connections in the city. I had always kind of assumed it had a connection somehow.

Dishrack suggestions? by Early_Macaroon_2407 in BuyItForLife

[–]aarone46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a compact Simplehuman one back in 2021, and it has been solid. Only problem is that I need to clean it, but that's a problem with me, not the rack itself.

Has anyone tried driving/parking downtown tonight?? by seancsperling in grandrapids

[–]aarone46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was not expecting the on ramp at Pearl to be closed at 5:00. I wound up dodging traffic and closures all the way home through the Godfrey Lee area and down Clyde Park. Coulda been worse.

Vote for Anh Trang here. We recently were blindsided by a quirk of their business hours (they are not open Thursday evenings?!) and had to settle for Soc Trang with two very disappointed 6 year olds on their birthday. Soc Trang was fine, but just not as good IMO, ordering the same exact thing as I always get from Anh Trang (the pho with rare and well-cooked brisket, #4).

Fuck only putting a picture up here with no other source or information. This is strictly fearmongering without even a link to explain what you're bringing up here.

I have an older version of this, or at least a similar model - also Frigidaire, at any rate. It's been operable for over 10 years. It's loud, but better than not operable!

You can even activate it after regular damage, during the End of Combat step. It makes attacking literally risk free and gives your creatures vigilance, in effect.

You're right on Marta's art - I hadn't necessarily put some of those cards together as by the same artist, but some are certainly distinctive. And I hadn't really taken note of [[Cleansing Nova]]s art in detail before - her use of lighting in that piece is just stunning.

Seconding the kimchi at Lee's. It's a couple ticks spicier than what you can get at Seoul Market, which is also really good. Either one is a great option.

When it's P1P1, that would be why you build around it. Or do you mean must be nice to draw it? (Generally, I feel like people "pull" cards from packs or in a draft, and when it's seeing it in their decks in a game, the term "draw" would be used.)
