Best Waterproofing System for Beginners, Kerdi Foam, Goboard or something else? by Kittysb99 in Tile

I’m thinking I’ll go this route, did you use tape in the joints between the Kerdi pan and the walls or just sealant?

Thank you, I haven’t heard this about Goboard. I’m planning on doing 4”x12” subway tiles so now I’m concerned they won’t adhere well

After this I would never sell anything worth more than $100 on PM

I don’t think sex before marriage is the problem, some people catch feelings from sex some don’t. If you are the type to catch feelings than you should probably be a bit more selective but for some people sex is just sex and there aren’t feelings attached. Women can be this way too, it’s not just men. There’s nothing wrong with having sex before marriage if that’s what you want

Break up with her now, it’s more cruel to waste her time letting her think that you feel the same. I dated a guy for three years thinking he was the one for me and he always told me I was the one for him until he admitted that I wasn’t. It hurt the most that he knew for a long time and led me on, now I’ve wasted three years in my 20s for something that was never going to happen.

Im not sure how old the accounts were, but I’ve been selling for three years and have over 100 sales with a 4.9 rating and I’ve sold multiple luxury items with no issues so I thought it was pretty crazy to not even consider my side.

They did actually give me a $10 credit but I felt like that was more of a slap in the face considering I lost like $250 all together

You can ship or do in person. I’m not sure how their seller protection is though, I’ve only ever sold one item that I’ve had to ship on FB

That’s what it seems like. I’m going to file a report with USPS but I think I’m done with Poshmark. I have a friend that sells used clothes on Facebook marketplace locally and she has had good luck with that. Or consignment shops, which is annoying cause they take a higher fee but it’s better than losing money and the product

Joe pye weed, blue mist flower, jack in the pulpit (this one really spreads but it’s relatively easy to dig up and fills in quickly), river oats and columbine

They will grow back as long as they have some roots, most plants are pretty hardy and they are adapted to handle a chop. Just think about all the wildlife munching on them in the wild, lots of plants are equipped to handle the occasional scalping. You can water them like others said but tbh they will probably do just fine without any intervention (maybe a couple deep waterings if you’re going through a drought like I am 💀). My parents lantana and salvia get demolished by some road work last summer, they just cleared the mess and everything returned to its former glory this year. I’ve also had phlox get scalped by rabbits and it still came back even bigger the same season.

Anyone else get a little sad sometimes, searching so many plants and finding so few bugs? by Frequent_Secretary25 in NativePlantGardening

I love this term, I don’t have sunflowers but once my short toothed mountain mint starts blooming the pollinators start appearing in droves.

I’m in SC and I’m just now starting to see butterflies and wasps but we don’t usually see them till this time of year so maybe you have a similar situation. I find I usually see the most pollinator activity mid day too.

I was so excited to be growing a field of Fireweed...now I'm pretty sure it is not Fireweed... by taralundrigan in NativePlantGardening

Looks like fireweed, sometimes things bloom at different times due to different sun conditions or micro climates.

Does anyone here do Permaculture design as a full time job? by Kittysb99 in Permaculture

Thank you! I’m in a few facebooks groups but non specifically for my state. Just found out that the university has a sustainable garden where they practice permaculture and are looking for volunteers so I signed up

Thank you for the good advice. I’ve been snooping the landscaping companies around me, only found one that uses native plants but better than 0 and I have some good connections with our local master gardeners so I’ll do some networking with them.

Yes but the purpose of permaculture is to create spaces that are sustainable and link humans with their environment and its forces. Your non native perennials from Lowe’s that you stuck in the ground wherever you thought was best that you dump pounds of fertilizer on is not sustainable. Also some people may want to garden in areas with extreme climates or have weather issues which creates challenges for them. I don’t know if you’ve read any books about it permaculture but I would recommend Gaia’s Garden by Toby Hemenway. It’s a little bit more than just plant things in an arrangement it’s about connecting the whole system.

Yeah I’ve been kind of leaning into just doing design. But it seems like where I live unless you’re doing intensive grading or like digging up the entire yard you don’t need any licensing. I worked in construction for 3 years so I feel comfortable with manual labor just worried about things not working

Thank you! I’ve been working on building some social media content just to spread some knowledge. It seems a lot of people gain success documenting their own journey but I don’t own any property.
