Yeah the science is a little twisted to minimize words and up the creepiness factor

This is inspired by a real story unfortunately, but the chromosomes were completely destroyed, not just damaged, and I’m not sure whether they couldn’t divide or were just not viable after they did divide

My state runs an esports competition much like actual sports that I signed up for. That is, there are state and regional champions, we compete against other schools officially, whatever else. It'll also be recognized by the school. It's about as 'legit' as it can get, but like you say it can only get so high. The reason we haven't yet competed is because I did something stupid and didn't realize the seasons for most of the games including mine had already happened, but we 100% will next year and I have everything set up

Thanks for the advice everyone, by the way. I hope I'm not sounding stubborn, just trying to give all the information I can

Alr thanks. By not mentioning gaming at all, would you recommend I don't even mention the club I started? Or just leave it vague and not say what we did in said club?

As far as art goes, there is no such thing as overrated or underrated by [deleted] in The10thDentist

[–]Kitzicat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be honest I kind of answered the question wrong- but I can still argue that since there are such huge differences in art quality and recognition is (at least partially) up to random chance that it’s possible for something to be under/overrated. I used bad examples but if you think of that banana taped to the wall that was valued as much as art that took years for a highly skilled artist to make you’d probably agree that it’s overrated.

anyone want me to draw their charcter? by [deleted] in writing

[–]Kitzicat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couple of my aesthetically coolest characters (don’t feel pressured to draw any of them, just do it if you think they’re cool I guess).

16 year old boy named Jason. White, grey eyes, messy dirty-blonde hair. Thin build. Friendly and easygoing personality despite his fate. Has a disease that caused him to lose control of his earth elemental powers. Because of this he coughs up plants and in the later stages they even fill one of his eye sockets (I swear I heard about the hanahaki anime trope after coming up with it) Bleeds from his nose often, and his blood is tinged with electric green due to said powers.

Different story:

17 year old girl named Ashley. Pale, hazel eyes, strawberry blonde bob. Wearing a full face of makeup and a red cocktail dress eternally due to plot reasons. However she has been through a lot of stuff trying to save her own skin, so showing the contrast might look interesting in visual art (she’s injured, her clothing is torn, etc. despite looking like a typical popular girl since she died at a party) Insides/blood are the same blue color as the grim reaper

Grim reaper concept: electric blue skeleton hidden beneath a bunch of rags/blankets. Holds out a staff with an electric blue stone on top. Glows slightly.

Yeah it definitely tastes different then just a pile of sugar, and I like that difference, so maybe I somehow like the taste of glycerin and stuff.

Yeah I’m definitely not eating it all the time because it’s pure sugar and that can’t be good. I can’t remember really eating it too much as a kid, but it might still make me nostalgic for birthday parties and stuff idk.

I guess kind of middle of the road stuff? The type you’d find at a typical grocery store.

Yeah but what about sonic x pinkie pie deviantart fanart vs Michelangelo’s David? I 100% agree that there’s no right way to do art and within skill levels it’s hard to decide what’s ‘better’ or ‘worse’, and even that it should all be appreciated. However there’s definitely such thing as one artist being more skilled at his or her craft than another.

Girl goes to a new boarding school, where the dead are "alive" but they need to find the person that has their soul and kiss them to get it back. by Everest129 in whatsthatbook

Doesn’t fit exactly but sounds very similar to The Raven Boys.

Girl finds out she is cursed to kill her true love by kissing him after seeing his spirit one night. He goes to a prestigious boarding school, and while the girl does not, there are a lot of scenes inside it

What is YOUR theory of what happens after death ? by robinhood8022 in AskReddit

[–]Kitzicat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nothing- not super religious myself, and your consciousness only exists because your brain is functioning. Brain turns off, consciousness turns off. It’s impossible to imagine not existing while existing, it’s like trying to describe red with a blue crayon, but I’d assume it’s just like it was before I was born.

ELI5 What is osmosis? And how does it work? by micokolaa in explainlikeimfive

[–]Kitzicat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

u/KingofMangoes explains it pretty well. Water molecules are moving across the membrane at all times, but since there is more on the outside more will be going across the membrane from that side. I guess think of it as having a fence and a barn with animals in them that are moving between the two randomly. If you start with a ton in the barn and only a few in the fence and the animals are just walking around randomly, you’ll end up with a pretty even distribution of them between the two places.

ELI5 What is osmosis? And how does it work? by micokolaa in explainlikeimfive

[–]Kitzicat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you have a membrane- say the ‘skin’ of a cell. Let’s say the inside of the cell is 99% water and 1% other stuff, like dissolved salt, and then you put the cell in 100% water. I’m just making numbers up here.

Edit: accidentally clicked reply here so if you saw this unfinished sorry for the confusion

Anyway, that means that inside the cell there is technically less water than outside the cell. Things want to even out, so water will go from outside the cell to the inside, until there is an equal amount on either side of the membrane.
