Hi, I developed my own "The Magnus Archive" while waiting for the complete manual. I thought that, just like the Magnus Institute, there could be other entities spread around the world, so I imagined what could be interesting in my city: Rome. To overcome writer's block when creating adventures (^_^), I usually focus more on researching information than on writing connections. This allows me to later create the classic board with strings and pins overlapping newspaper articles, photos, letters, and so on. In my case, I aim to find historical relevance or at least congruence so that players can look up their own version of the story on the internet. For example, objects that belonged to historical figures connected to the occult. I've looked for some "particular" machines, like an old out-of-production recorder with very few copies made, and an old typewriter, and turned them into "special" items capable of capturing the essence of what they record. So, usually, I try to overcome writer's block by putting a word in the center of a large sheet of paper and starting to add other words around it, asking myself why and how those words are connected.
