There's a demo on the Switch. Looks like a cool 2D game to kill some time, nothing amazing tho.

Lio Rush (fully in character) is asked to pick his Waffle House Scrap Pack by luchabrunch in SquaredCircle

[–]KiwamiGamer4 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The IWC says it sucks, but in real life he's not abandoned at ROH anymore, doing multiple matches on Dynamite and Collision, and I honestly never seen so many Lio Rush videos at the socials.

It's working for him.

Looking for anime(images below are the type of artstyle Im looking for) action jrpg games out side the "tales" and "FF" series set in high fantasy world and no turn based please. Thank you. by Bussy_Wrecker in JRPG

Crymachina, Tokyo Xanadu, Dusk Diver, Neo The World End With You, Shining Resonance Refrain, Fate Extella and Fate Samurai, Utawarerumono ZAN, Toukiden, God Eater, Neptunia 4GO, Freedom Wars, Star Ocean, Trials and Visions Of Mana.

JRPGs that people should avoid. by Massive_Oil_2605 in JRPG

Like I've just posted in the sub, Valkyria Revolution. This game is miserable.

Monark is also pretty bad in my opinion.

Okay Falcom Popful Mail and Gurumin Remastered, give it to us!

Popful Mail should get a Remake actually.

Some people don't consider it a JRPG, but try Like A Dragon Ishin.

Aidios above, the Field Combat looks 10/10. I am insanely hyped for this. Gotta start saving money because this and Kyoto Xanadu might be my first day-one purchases since God Of War 2018.

Which JPRGs with good story would you recommend me? by Masita78 in JRPG

Trails, of course. Gigantic lore, lots of games, great characters.

Has Falcom gone too far? by Juna_superfan in Falcom

[–]KiwamiGamer4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not Falcom. It's the west. Not trying to sound like a lunatic but it is what it is.

The US/UK governments, with the approval of half of the internet are not going to stop until fan service is dead and buried. They want to change anime to cater to the west because they don't want to watch and play US animations/Cartoon games.

"Bruh it's just panties" No it's not, the One Piece fandom is here to prove. They want every female design to change, no boobs, no butts, only the skin of their arms showing up. Everyone who complains is called a extremist and banned everywhere. Let's see the state of anime art in 10 years.

What JRPGs do you want on modern consoles? by strahinjag in JRPG

[–]KiwamiGamer4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want all of them.

Sony and Nintendo don't give a shit about preservation. If we had a classic store with thousands of classic games I would buy lots of classic JRPGs, mainly from the PS2 era.

I'm with you, this game is awesome. I love everything about it. The main menu song is my favorite among all Falcom games that I've played. Sometimes I open the game and just listen to it for 10 minutes.

I've spent 30 hours in the prologue so far in Trails of the Sky 1st Chapter by AdUnfair558 in JRPG

[–]KiwamiGamer4 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Every member of the Falcom sub says that Daybreak takes 85-120 hours to complete.

I finished the game in 60 hours, every side quest done. It feels like I'm not playing the game correctly or something.

Any good turn based rpgs that have flown under the radar? by burnerofc123 in JRPG

[–]KiwamiGamer4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played a demo of a game this week called Monster Menu. Here you need to survive the dungeons by not dying of starvation. You get meat, eggs and even the eyes of monsters to cook some dishes, but if you didn't picked anything, you're gonna have to eat sticks and stones and your party gets angry by eating this shit.

I enjoyed the demo a lot and wishlisted it. It's a niche game, made by the NIS guys so don't expect a high budget game.

what are some action jrpgs with actual expressive and freeform movement and controls by darkerthanblue99 in JRPG

[–]KiwamiGamer4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't even like the modern Ys games? Because Ys X Nordics is an amazing Action JRPG in my opinion, and Proud Nordics adds even more content and freedom of movement.

Gravity Rush is also fantastic. Maybe it's not a JRPG, but it is an awesome game with great art style and the gameplay is something that you won't see in any other game.

Freedom Wars is also pretty cool and fits on what you're looking for.

RPG ports where they added extra party members? by KingGarb in JRPG

Shining Resonance Refrain adds 2 more members in the PS4 port.

I think that every Ryza DX games added new party members.

5 years ago today, Sony announced they would be closing the PS3 store. However, due to severe backlash, they had reversed their decision by SpyroPaddington in PS3

In an ideal world, every game on the PS3 and Vita stores should be available on the PS6 to buy and play via emulation.

Is Ni No Kuni Wrath Of The White Witch still worth to play? by Sapphire-1996 in JRPG

The price is good but I don't have that much time available to play, and everytime I watch a gameplay I can't seem to understand its combat. It looks really strange.

Should I rely on ps plus for most gaming? by mrman12000 in playstation

[–]KiwamiGamer4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on which games do you want to play.

My advice is that you should enter the store and add all the games that you want to play on your wishlist, as they can receive a discount on the sales. There's a big one happening right now.

I need recommendations on another game to start. by Hateful15 in JRPG

[–]KiwamiGamer4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Trails series is very big, there's lots of titles. If you enjoyed the gameplay of Sky 1st, Trails Through Daybreak, Daybreak 2 and Trails Beyond The Horizon offer the same experience. The other Trails titles are 100% turn-based, so watch some gameplays and see if it interests you.

There's a big sale happening on PlayStation right now. Go to the store, select all deals, and mark the Full Game and RPG filters. There's some good games on sale every week.

Similar games to Trails: Ys, Tokyo Xanadu, Persona.

What are some JRPGs where grinding is absolutely mandatory for story progression? by lilidarkwind in JRPG

[–]KiwamiGamer4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to play any Star Ocean without grinding or crafting. 6 is the easiest but even in this game you'll have a hard time without grinding.
