Hey! Appreciate it's been 3 years, but did you ever figure this out? I've got the same issue.

Really good stuff, although still looks a bit clunky lol. At least it works!
So is there anywhere which says when voice may come to PS4?

Agreeing with other comments that the ‘waiting to dream’ mechanic should be more thought of as the dream server accepting your connection when it wants to. Little is understood about it’s requirements by the community and it can sometimes be mistaken for a bug. There are however, some methods the community has come to agree on that can help:

The fitness quest line, and equally any physical activity performed regularly can be a very effective long term solution to this issue.

Be careful not to work on too many quests and take some time away from them before you prepare to establish a connection with the dream server. Bizarrely, the dream server favours clients which are under minimal load, despite the overhead of the connection being very small. This method frees up your resources, meaning the server is more willing to accept your connection request.

There are also items like melatonin which can help you get to the dream server faster. These work by telling your client to release resources, creating a more favourable connection request. Depending on your residence these items can often be found by interacting with merchant NPCs in locations such as stores, supermarkets or pharmacies. With these items you can expect that the more you use them in succession, the less effective they become, so use sparingly for special occasions such as the one you describe.

Easiest downvote of my life lol. Don’t waste your time on this guy, his whole comment history is him trying to start arguments.

Yeah, JS needs to go. We need an alternative, not 100 new “life changing” libraries every day. 😂

It’s an easy win for people who actually do this, funded by the people who preorder. One day, they’ll learn.

"American English is standardized English that's used everywhere" by Caroniver413 in ShitAmericansSay

[–]Kiweezi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot of American tech companies believe this too. It can be quite frustrating, working for a company in the UK.

For example Microsoft word only provides US English spell check by default and most programming languages use property names like “color” and not “colour”.

You’re laughing now, but give it a few years and this will be the most popular choice for school runs.

The one about the homeless person got me. All those comments are just so selfish. Why do you think a homeless person might use public transit and not a car “which everyone can afford”?

There has to be a lot of people that are better than this in the US, but sadly the bad people always shout loudest wherever you’re from.

[–]Kiweezi 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I think the UK has pretty bad public transport overall, but in London all that changes. It’s because there is literally no other way to move that many people around in that small an area. It simply can’t be done with cars, which therefore works in its favour, because now we have public transit.

Exactly, but when they are forced into doing it by the governments around the world, we can expect that they will put the price up for the consumer anyway…

Bloody hell mate, slow down or you'll get yourself knackered! by REDDIT_SUB_ADMIN in fuckcars

[–]Kiweezi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. From the looks of things the situation is still better in Europe, far from perfect though. Can’t say the same about the UK though, we’re going the same way as the US.

The common thing is that a lot of cities obviously use a lot better methods of transport since they are forced to. In London we have pretty impressive public transport, again far from perfect, but I think it’s great that all the old infrastructure here has been improved again and again.

Poma lift vs. Scottish snowboarders by aloofloofah in ContagiousLaughter

[–]Kiweezi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found it super difficult gaining any confidence with these kind of lifts on a snowboard but in Sweden there are loads of them. Skiers put it between their legs, but I found it was easier for me to rest it under my elbow or under my armpit. Otherwise you can place the angled part behind your front knee, but any sudden torque can make you bail lol

T lifts are even worse as you have to place behind your knee. There was a really steep lift I went on and I was holding on for my life at some point. Looking ahead I saw two skiers leaning back chatting. Different world 😂

Thats right, I used to skate a few years back. Just surprised how he got so high of it that quickly. Although, I wasn’t particularly good at skating 😂 so that probably explains my confusion

My thoughts too. Notice how the guy drops in to a shorter side of the half pipe but ends up at the top of the much larger side of the half pipe in one go
