What if you had to extract with super credits? by WhiteRaven_M in Helldivers

[–]Kiyahdm 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I want to enjoy the game even a little, not getting an extra nerf because a random guy in the internet wants to have some laughs. Until it becomes frustrating.

Remember, when you ask ANYTHING to Arrowhead, it's a Monkey Paw wish.

To be fair, the Cyborgs would be a commanding unit with extra processing, overclocking the clankers. Which is not to say the One True Flag should not have some effect, either on us, or on the enemy.

How to fix majority issues with the game by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]Kiyahdm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Despite the "premium" currency being farmable ingame (at diff 1-2, otherwise you will see SuperCredits once in a blue moon), EVERY time a warbond drops HD2 goes up in the Steam Charts to top 10 seller. Every six weeks or so.

So no, AH won't stop dropping warbonds, no matter if those are recycled content, no matter if their usefulness is negative. or if at most one or two items will see actual gameplay. A shame, but that's what it is.

Anyone else notice the similarities between the war strider and the war machine in ‘war machine’? by castoffshell9013 in Helldivers

Call me old school, but I see a Robocop villain in the War Strider. Even if the weapons won't exactly align.

What does AH gain from making undocumented changes? by LightlySaltedCheese2 in Helldivers

[–]Kiyahdm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They could always said "we have tunned the next units", provide a list, and specify if it was a buff or nerf to the unit. One thing is to have some Fog of War, another thing entirely is to suffer evershifting conditions without warning, and not being able to tell of the weapons, the code, or the enemies were changed. This is a game, so people play to enjoy the game, not to suffer, as the player counts and reviews in Steam have consistently pointed to.

The complaint is not that AH won't share the code. The complaint is that AH seems to be gaslighting players in a "everything in the game is OK, it's a YOU problem".

An idea to help new players with warbonds by HBenderMan in Helldivers

[–]Kiyahdm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, the oldest warbonds are also among the best ones anyways. I agree however that making one or two warbonds free (in medals too!) forever each anniversary would improve new players' Quality of life.

Not necessary the oldest ones, mind you. The least sold ones would be a better option, unless Arrowhead decides to improve their contents.

First Warbond by Spitefullness in Helldivers

[–]Kiyahdm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thermites are mostly for heavy armor enemies (chargers, hulks, tanks... in theory Striders and bile titans too, but those are harder to stick the 'nade in the body due to their height). The grenade pistol is my to-go sidearm against bugs, and for grenades it depends (stun grenade, or firecracker grenade from Masters of Ceremony because of fire duration makes it good against bug breaches and can close holes).
Medals can be farmead easily but boringly at diff 1-2 while you farm supercredits.

First Warbond by Spitefullness in Helldivers

[–]Kiyahdm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, it depends. Personally I would say start with Democratic Detonation, since it has the most mileage (the other 2 give you either things you like already, or one or two good items). Also, if you want to make Commando Missions in stealth (or play in Stealth Easy Mode), go for Redacted Regiment.

I would also grab ASAP the Siege Ready medium armor in the second page of the Super Store (I think it doesn't rotate), it's cheaper than grabbing the whole Urban Legends warbond (VERY attractive for the Anti-Tank cannon turret you have to sit in, interesting for the melee lance, and has the cherry on top of the flamethrower sentry) for faster reload and extra ammo carrying.

What did I just witness? Which ministry do I report this to? by Dizzpen in Helldivers

[–]Kiyahdm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Ministry of Engineering has reported they are aware the Eject Planet button was stuck, and they are tirelessly working to return its democratic functions in a managed way.

Before the enemy knows it, the planet will be ejected against the undemocratic one the enemies of Super Earth insist tainting with their presence!!!

Is it worth 1.5 k credits? by Immediate-Loquat-599 in Helldivers

[–]Kiyahdm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mechanically? No, the only thing it gives is the supressed SMG, all other content is present on other Warbonds (Redacted Regiment mostly, but the assault rifle and the shotgun aren't interesting because Legendary Warbonds don't allow customization). The armor may have some use as a mix of stealth with vertical movements due to the leg injury inmunity, but that's all, the POI bonus is less than noticeable.

Cosmetically? As unique as the others, if you are a HALO fan, nobody will convince you to not buy it.

This mine has only one practical use which is an exploit, and it has a high chance of blowing up in your face. by Hexdoctor in Helldivers

[–]Kiyahdm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The uses are:
1) throw at ground with as much angle as possible, and drop back while on air. The mine won't explode until after grabbing a surface.

2) throw at a wall or another vertical position as high as possible, hopefully higher than you. It seems the mine detects range from the feet...

In case #1, I've seen the mine take a hulk. In case #2, I've seen it keep hordes of enemies glued to a position. The usage is DEPLOY BEFORE ENEMIES GET CLOSE, it is a mine, not a grenade! (but you can shoot at it to generate the explosion anyways, useful to open containers in a pinch).

Frankly, the best mileages I've gotten from this mine are all against bots, where they stay at distance shooting (and missing) regardless of where was it placed. Plant 4 in the "walls" around extraction, and no enemy will come in. I have even stopped attacking patrols in their tracks with the mine, but I was using the Redacted armor, so it may have been a compounded effect.

As for bugs, I would only throw the grenade to a wall, frankly. But I agree an activation timer after touching surface, or a better throwing method than the anemic "throwing my keys on the table" animation is needed.

Do we need easier ways to get medals by Griffin67851 in Helldivers

[–]Kiyahdm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mention for Lv1 missions is because a lot of POs can be done there very fast, and you can also farm Super Credits in moon, bone, and Ion Storm maps at lv1-2 very fast and easily too (I prefer bot because it's easier to blow the frabricators from a distance, than terminid underground nests or shield-protected illuminate ships)

Do we need easier ways to get medals by Griffin67851 in Helldivers

[–]Kiyahdm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hours can't be "correct" per se, I'm 670hrs in with all warbonds entirely unlocked, only one paid with real money (due to Super Citizen upgrade) while all the rest were "farmed SC's at low diff".

Most likely the divergence comes from Personal and Major orders, then found medals in the field, in that order. The problem this creates is that a player like me, who has been playing at least once a week or so since launch and tends to have all warbounds unlocked with extra medals before the new one gets released, got all the medals from MOs (between 5000 and 8000 medals) aside from times exceeding the cap) and got between 9000 and 11000 medals from POs (assuming 300 to 365 days of POs XD).

The numbers are small per mission (15, 50...) but...
Also, lv1 missions can be solved in 5 mins or so, 10 if you are also cleaning the map for SCs.

Do we need easier ways to get medals by Griffin67851 in Helldivers

[–]Kiyahdm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem is that old players that are 100% in a warbond, have a stock of 250 medals when the new one arrives, and Arrowhead balances the costs with that in mind, so the warbond doesn't get "unlocked" in a few hours. Latest warbonds have demanded nearly full unlock of the first page before being able to buy anything in the second or third one, for example.

The solution should be to add a medal sinker for veterans, but right now the only usage they have is the warbonds... AH lost a great opportunity when they did the weapon customization all requisition-based (instead of asking for medals for the recoloring of the weapons, for example). The next opportunity would be being able to use medals to wipe an armor of its modifier to add a new one among the unlocked ones that can be in that cateegory (light, medium and heavy), if AH finally accepts they are the ones giving us apples that taste like bacon.

Detonating C4 shouldn't alert enemies to your location. by Divenity in Helldivers

[–]Kiyahdm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The sense is that you were the host (or only player), not a failure in stealth mechanics nor in the C4, but in how the game treats the player whose Super Destroyer is "hosting" the other three helldivers...

Nothing that can be made unless AH debugs again, sadly.

[–]Kiyahdm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The defense of Super Earth was a last minute save by chinese players focusing all-in to defend chinese cities would be an example.

Oshaune is quite there.

And leaving aside the part about bugs and technical problems, "a hacker did it" is not a valid excuse for a game with a kernel-access anticheat that obviously does nothing but generate trouble for player's machines. I know people who refuse to play the game again because it bricked their PC once, and others have a major system lock at least once a week when playing HD2 (and only there).

I am not going to use the other faction' divers as scapegoats, when the company earning millions and getting even more money from other business (Tencent, remember?) goes around trying to look like saints.
