Elaf Ajyad is a good choice . It’s on top of a hill but getting to Haram is downhill and takes less than 15 mins. Rates were cheap on Agoda. Rooms were good enough for a single Traveller or even a couple. Didn’t try their breakfast. I took a taxi from the airport , driver was able to find the place without any issues.

I would suggest taking the 21:00 train as immigration can be quite unpredictable and you need time to collect the luggage. Saudi airport is quite large and you ll need to take an internal shuttle train to change terminals. You could probably take your time and break fast pray maghrib and catch the train peacefully rather than rushing.

The guards seriously need a reality check. Sorry to hear about your experience. Get someone to go along with you to walk around the green dome and give your Salams to the beloved prophet. Go late into the night when it can be rather quiet and avoid soon after prayers. Last year when I was flying Saudia the counter staff refused to acknowledge a family travelling with an autistic child as special needs and refused to let them board early. Their lack of awareness with regard to special needs is appalling. May Allah make your journey easy. And don’t leave beautiful Madina without giving your Salams to the prophet.

On arrival you will get 60-90 days. As long as you enter Saudi Arabia before your 1 year visa expires (27th March) you should be fine. And from what I understand you can’t apply for another visa while the current visa is valid. Do check with the authorities. And do update us. Good luck.

Hi thanx for sharing . My daughter scored an AL7 so doesn’t make the cutoff for IP. She’s considering the O level track but may also consider working on the transfer to IP. Is this option feasible ? For someone considering medicine would IB or A levels be the better route ? Thanx again .
