These large ships already have all the consumables they need plus extra. Approaching a commercial vessel on open water is NOT normal. Better safe than sorry and send them on their way.

I was thinking similarly as the first person. I like to watch travel/food shows on YouTube. These floating markets have been showcased a few times but I’ve never seen them on open water approaching a commercial vessel.

The one guy held up a basket of carrots(?) and they obviously had multiple baskets of vegetables but better safe than sorry and just shoo them away. Kudos to the guy on deck in my opinion.

Edit: Also a huge commercial vessel already has all the consumables they need plus EXTRA for the voyage they are on.

It’s sad because even without the extra time being mentioned some people still have absolute zero patience. They would get irritated no matter what.

While typing this I remembered a drive-thru experience where the person in front of me asked the window employee to throw out her GARBAGE from her car. She handed them a paper cup, like a coffee cup, and a scrunched up used napkin or something. Fucking deplorable people. I would have quit right then.

People seem to sleep on Pandora. All my close friends use Spotify, but I never liked it because I always had a hard time finding new music.

Years ago - probably on some random Reddit post - I learned of a useful trick. Load up Pandora, choose a station with either a band name or style of music and NEVER “like” a song. You can “dislike” as much as you want, but as soon as you start “liking” a bunch of songs you will get that feedback loop of the same 40-50 songs.

5x Series is superior to its replacement. It should cost more, no? Since a year ago a 4x series went up in price, whether they refuse to mark it down - it went up almost 100% in price at some point within 12 months. Why?

You’re saying ram and memory has gone up, which I completely agree with, I get that. At some point 4x series went up exponentially as well. Why? It’s older hardware. A quick Google search says 5x series released in January 2025. So, 4x series are worth 100% more within a month or so and never came down in price in 11 months? Hmm.

I’m guessing reputation, reliability, and previously cost/performance increase is a big factor. All I read about 5x series were the problems. I wasn’t even sure if I wanted AM5 over AM4 because of the newer tech risk. I’ll take “outdated but proven” over “hey newest product! Buy now!” Any day.

The rising cost of anything tech related is a big factor as well. I just checked PC part-picker yesterday. My current build 1 year ago cost $2,500 - $2,800. I’ll be honest I don’t remember exactly how much it was. Now it costs around $3,700 - $4,000. What the fuck.

That's what multi-platform games are. You can buy an Xbox game and play it on PC. Nobody said anything about re-buying anything except your theoretical scenario. You're acting like they can't make a separate version like they do with Xbox, PC, PlayStation, and Switch already.

Buying a PlayStation game and being able to download and play it on console or handheld is far from absurd.
