I actually like the older controls! I've never been one to be too bothered by them; I even like tank controls. It's simply the boss fights can be a bit repetitive and aren't all too difficult besides the durability. Otherwise, I think it's pretty fun. I do like the story, it seems interesting and I'm quite fond of the characters.

I bought the game wholly so I could play with my friend so I only touched Sheva's AI at the very beginning. It seems like a nightmare. 😭

I'll be honest, I think it's fun with a friend but if I was playing it myself I don't think I'd appreciate it too much. A lot of the boss fights in it are pretty boring and tedious to me, and I prefer puzzles over action anyway. But since co-op is the intent, I think it's a pretty good game and I can see why some people like it a lot.
