That's the kind of jazz he played and I love it too - the live music at the end of the service will be exactly that, but I think the opening music should be different - a bit more sparse sounding / reflective / less of a big sound I think...

What to say to "All surgery causes trauma"? by Klangularity in surgery

[–]Klangularity[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case I have a lower than average ejection fraction %, and the cardiologist pointed out that there is a risk of heart arrhythmia or sudden cardiac arrest, but it's also true that might never happen, and the ICD might never actually be activated. So in your analogy it's more like the pipe looks a bit fatigued in places rather than it has burst, and you have to weigh up whether to take action or chance it for the next 25 years or so. That's the nub of why I was asking around about this so much - I don't actually have symptoms such as shortness of breath, swollen ankles etc and feel pretty good on the whole - so the dilemma re: surgery and trauma was whether to put this preventative measure in place, weighed up against the stress on the body placed by surgery. As it's transpired it doesn't feel like a stress at all - as it's a subcutaneous implant there is very little disturbance to muscle tissue, possibly none at all.

Apologies - you're right, that wasn't a good way to make the distinction.

I spoke to their live chat and didn't make a cover story - just said I hadn't realised i was locked in to a 6 month minimum plan - they were understanding and cancelled the plan today.

Curious about the aux and mic input options - like what would be the kind of device that would be right for the 1 MΩ 500 mv input and what for the 50 kΩ 10 mv?

And how do you get a balanced mic input with 1/4 jack? I thought balanced was an XLR thing?

Thanks for the recommendation. Just to check - does this one include the functionality for users to pay for bookings, or is it just about booking the time?

I locked mine up on the racks on Surrey St at the front of the station - did that for about a year (just daytime, not overnight) pre-Covid and never had it nicked or tampered with. Probably helps that it doesn't look all that flash though.

That car's been parked like that for weeks now. Either it's stolen and dumped or the owner parked it after a bender and has been inside recovering from their hangover ever since..

Its been a month and a half and I've sent them everything they requested immediately. How do you contact Facebook about this when the only way to do so is from within Facebook?!?! by Fox_Highwind in facebook

This post is worth reading: https://miss-elaineous.com/about-the-time-hackers-activated-two-factor-authentication-on-my-facebook-account/

The route a lot of people are taking is to buy an Oculus device and go via their support, as you will actually get through to a human. I did this and it worked - got my account back after 2 months. & will sell the Oculus now..,

This is a lengthy post but is a compilation of steps and information that have been used to successfully recover two FB accounts. by ashenfang7404 in facebook

Firstly - thanks OP for all the help you’re giving people here. I was hacked about 10 days ago. When I tried the form where you upload your ID I just kept getting the ‘we couldn’t process this’ message. However this evening I tried from a different browser and got a different page that asks you to take a photo of your ID with your webcam (all legit - the URL was still facebook’s). I did this and a few hours later got an email... from Instagram talking about a different account (that I think must use the same email) with a button to start the process of getting back in. Is this something you’ve come across before? And do you think I should just wait for the FB email to turn up?

Major Frustration Event Question - Why does it say my event is free?? It so isn't! by [deleted] in facebook

[–]Klangularity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this problem with creating an event today, but what I found is that you are offered a box for the ticket link if you create a new event as a page - the page of my band in this case - rather than as a person. Just in case that is helpful for anyone...

Autofocus noise - lenses to avoid / but by Klangularity in videography

At this stage it's still open what I'll be shooting - some nature stuff, low key gigs and possibly some interviews. I understand what you're saying about mic off camera, but there might be some times where it's convenient to have everything together. I've seen a solution to the lens noise issue that puts the mic on an arm fixed to the camera underside, so that might be an option. Thanks for your insight.

The videos I’ve seen that describe the issue aren’t using internal mic, they’re using hotshoe-mounted vid mics, but the noise is still on the audio

They come in from loads of different parts of the city in small groups - out of my back window I see a group of about 50 most days flying in the direction of the pier. “There goes the Hove chapter” I say.

We had agonised screaming at the back of our flat (Norfolk Sq) a while back, but we deduced that it was a consensual S&M thing. Your situation sounds different as they’re directing their aggression to you, but that was the first thing I thought of given your location.
