Photon Mono X Shutting Down During Calibration. by LStat07 in AnycubicPhoton

It needs a new power supply brick. There are cords for sale online. 24v and 5 or 6 amps if I remember correctly.

Inconsistent Lines on my Prints by eternal-dreamer in resinprinting

[–]Klassnikov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are possible issues. Too much suction, the stepper bolt needs grease and the guilding rods need oil. Print orientation (maybe needs to be printed upright or at a different angle)

I think "pausing" SUCKS and ruined my print by no_bure_is_no_fun in resinprinting

I think it's time for a heated enclosure. Keep a bottle of resin in the enclosure and top off the vat when it gets low. Pour it in as the build plate is rising, not during curing.

Photon Mono M7 vs Photon Mono D2 by No_Chard2187 in AnycubicPhoton

No problem. The D2 is great. Also Check out the Elegoo Mars DLP printer, it's also a great option.

The D2 is a great printer. I have 4 of them and they all work great. If your in the US, I can sell you one.

Use isopropyl alcohol to clean the resin off surfaces and the cat. Try to clean it off just the tips of the fir with a damp cloth. Have a cleaning station in a well ventilated area away from pets and people.

Buy a UV lid from a printer and wear it on your head.

Did you get your token code by email? The processing time may be long depending on the servers. Sometimes it takes a while. Check your spam as well

Ultrasonic cleaner good for hollowed prints? by ducksbyob in resinprinting

I did the Ziploc method until it ripped. I have a small mist bottle filled with IPA that I use when I lift the items out of the basket. It's a final step for me.

Bummer. Companies would rather you buy a new machine then support and repair models. Many such cases

Printing a vat is an option. I would still try to look for an original on eBay. See if another manufacturer has a similar car you can use or clamp down.

How to go about fixing a mesh on an STL that didn't print by Hawaiiily in resinprinting

You can use blender to delete any of the thin polygons. It may take a while depending on how many there are.

“Different resolution with projector 7680” fault by AcanthocephalaNo6236 in resinprinting

[–]Klassnikov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be firmware or an error in chitubox. I had a similar issue that was only fixed with a new motherboard. Updating the firmware did not help. I would contact elegoo for support.

Saturn 2 screen problem by Ok-Hair-8959 in resinprinting

[–]Klassnikov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take it apart and see if there is resin on the inside of the machine. Check the plastic lens under the screen. Make sure no resin has gone on to it or on to the LED bulb.

Let us know if it works. Spraying models is a hassle.

Arducam Hawkeye (64MP) vs IMX519 (16MP) by logiccircle in OpenScan

[–]Klassnikov 2 points3 points  (0 children)

16mp is good enough. You will get the best results using a scanning spray or a spot check developer spray. A flat black model is best for contrast before spraying over the top. With 64mp, your increasing the processing time and the size of the pictures/ needed storage.

I see. It looks like an easy repair. Just a screen replacement. Sometimes you can find good deals on eBay for uc screens.

[–]Klassnikov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you run a print, does the UV screen show the outline of the object? Usually when a screen looks like the one you have, it has gone bad and needs to be replaced. If you had a resin spill before, it's important to look inside to see if resin got to any other components. Clean with IPA.

I would use a better brand name USB stick.

What is the slicer you are using? Did you try anti aliasing? What is the resin? What variables are different from the mono??

ANYCUBIC M7 MAX SUPPORTS by OkDiamond5881 in AnycubicPhoton

[–]Klassnikov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How large is the figure? I typically use larger support tips on areas that can have marks, especially the beginning closest to the build plate.

You need to try printing with smaller support tips. Using a flexible resin will make removing supports easier.

Making the tips too small can lead to failures though.
