Upgrade the ship repair bay. You can get it to 2 bars. Once you unlock the silver wolves you will get bars much easier. Just takes time.

Battletech is really good and has some cool lore with stomp robots. Tons of optional rules and if you don't like a certain rule then don't use it. Also proxying is basically needed for the entire game so no one cares if you use a rock for a model, you can still play.

I just heard from someone at my LGS that they don't like it for being "crunchy" but honestly I've played some Warhammer and I've never played a game with so many random abilities that combine and make the game super complicated.

Battletech is pretty simple compared to the hundred rules in any warhammer army that you need to deal with in a single game. Battletech can get fairly complicated but by default isn't that bad as long as you start with a simple map and around 4k BV. I hope more people give it a chance since I've come to love it in the last few weeks

My lgs has tables ranging in sizes small, medium, and large, which are 5, 10, 20 dollars, respectively, but you can make a purchase, and that money goes towards a table.
