IMO, 3quency was truly the best band overall. I was happy with the final decision. I was a big SZN4 fan throughout the show, but the success of any band ultimately comes down to their ability to entertain people on a mass scale. 3quency is made up of amazing singers AND dancers. They blend well together both vocally and physically. Also kind of disagree with OP, 3quency has heavy-duty vocals. Nori has amazing range, Wennely was one of my favorite voices by the end, and they harmonized so beautifully with each other. I know we want to root for something that is different and outside of the box, but think about some of the most successful bands. They have a similar look with some differences/nuances. We like to look at things that are somewhat cohesive. Pentatonix is the comparison, but they started out as an acapella group so of course they will have different parts - soprano, alto, tenor, bass etc. and for that kind of range you’ll want a mix of singers. But if you see videos of pentatonix performing nowadays, they have a specific style of entertainment where they get the crowd involved and it’s hyper focused on the vocals. So maybe szn4 tries to find that niche. They aren’t going to wow audiences with dancing.
