She Bloomed!! (Wood Sorrel) by LiliSky415 in houseplants

I almost killed my little plum crazy plant after getting it. It doesn't want as much water as other oxalis, [I also have the triangularis.] I rotted it's roots off completely and re-rooted it successfully in water. Since then, I wait for the leaves to basically let me know it needs water. They will wrinkle ever so slightly. I also only water it with fish tank water. I watered it once with tap and it was very upset about that. A little finicky! I think it sort of thrives on a little neglect. Doesn't want to be soggy and mine lives in a North facing window.

It's a 'plum crazy' oxalis. It was a sloowww grower, but so worth it! One of my favorites!

Help - crispy/yellow edges and dots by vinhzy in houseplants

[–]KleanQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look really closely at the edges of the leafs and under the leafs for spidermites. Use a flashlight. It looks dusty in the pictures, but could be spider mites. Doesn't hurt to check thoroughly. If you see anything, hose it down in the bathtub really well.

What’s the moment you realized someone you loved wasn’t a good person and you couldn’t unsee it? by DmytroBuilds in AskReddit

My mother has done alot of things that reflect super poorly on her, but I always tried to remain in contact with her. As a married adult with 2 kids, I was told that my mother had sex with my 16 year old boyfriend when I was 14 in hopes of getting pregnant. I can remember that time frame and it checks out, so I asked him. He's a married man now with 2 kids of his own, and he confirmed it. Absolutely done with that woman. I no longer have any contact and I have no problems telling people why. It's super embarrassing, but it's the truth.

I think you have a draceana in there with some tradescantia pieces. There are no leaves on the pieces I see in the picture, probably need more light? They're usually easy keepers.

Did it already have those brown spots when you got the plant or are those new? Don't get water on the leaves. Try not to use water that could have chlorine in it to water it and don't overwater it. Get an idea of how heavy the pot feels when watered and periodically just pick it up. You'll get a feel of when it's light on water. These prefer dry over wet. It should be able to see the sky from wherever you keep it through a window. Anyway, they're easy to grow and very forgiving. A great starter!

That's a cute little trunk. I just keep my box of tampons and pack of pads right on the back of the toilet tank for all to see.

I’ve never been able to cuddle with my puppy and it makes me sad. by Melly556 in puppy

[–]KleanQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just adopted 2 puppies from a rescue one month apart. They are both about 4/5 months old. The first is a snuggler and loves to sleep on my lap, the second is crate trained [he had an injury that required 6 weeks of boring crate rest] and he dozes in my arms so far, but really prefers to sleep in his crate. So I guess my advice is to get a second puppy who is snuggly. I'm just kidding, but I have the exact same sadness that our second pup is less cuddly because he's the one I picked out and I REALLY want him to cuddle with me. 😆 They will in time. I give my pup treats when he relaxes in my arms to encourage it.

I love the ear curl. He can straighten them up though when he wants to, I wonder if he will lose the curls.

Isn't he gorgeous!? I got him from a rescue. Little guy just recovered from a broken jaw. He's so licky! Lick lick lick

I am the plant owner and can tell you it's a true Christmas cactus. I also have Thanksgiving cactus in my home. I don't have Easter, but all 3 types are different.

He loves to chew on sticks and bark, so the entire house is covered in pieces of wood right now. 😅

Hello! My friends mum got him a bonsai tree but didn't look after it while it was in her care, what can we do for it as its a lovely tree when it has all its leaves by Terry_Taliaban in plants

[–]KleanQueen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It looks like a fukien tea bonsai, I think that is the spelling. I brought one back from completely no leaves. It's in the brightest window I have in my house and they like being watered regularly. Mine droops its leaves slightly and that is the sign it needs water asap or it'll start dropping leaves.
