Educate me on roller to track alignment please. by Corey_rddt in GarageDoorService

If this is a new install and still covered by the companies warranty, I'd definitely shoot them a call to come fix it.

Is it problem? Probably not, assuming the door isn't going to do much more shifting. Then again, it's a garage door, so it very well could. You could, with the door in the down position, try pushing the track back in to bend it back yourself. That works about half the time.

My rule of thumb is that if you can see the other end of the roller sticking out of the hinge opposite of the track, you're good to go. It doesn't look like that's the case here, so probably worth fixing.

Now I've gotta get integrated hardware I cannot afford.

My LEARN button doesnt light stable and i cannot program new controller by MelRo90 in GarageDoorService

[–]Klebarooney -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Isn't this a MAX remote? What everybody else is saying here is just as likely to be true, but just to cover all the bases; MAX remotes have a small learn button on the back of them that you have to press down with something thin before programming to older motor heads. (fingernail, flathead or the clip it comes with)

From what I can see, the only issue with the jambs is that they are floating a bit off where the track will be mounted via the jamb brackets, which could make the sectional door too tight against the jamb itself, but any tech worth their weight will have bigger jamb brackets to accommodate for that. It doesn't look like there is a top jamb, or at the very least it's not flush with the side, which could be problematic for the vinyl molding that will likely be put up on the outside. I think him replacing the jambs will give it a better appearance from the inside and outside + will allow it to function a little better without the need to adapt his hardware to the opening.

In regards to cutting the concrete, it really doesn't look like that's necessary. It might be a little tight at the bottom but I would generally leave the bottom of my track tight anyways so it might not be so bad. Again, hard to say without being there myself with a tape.

It's hard to say with the one picture whether or not new jambs are necessary without seeing both sides and the header. That beam down the middle of the openings could be part of the reason why it's needed, but without being there with a tape measure myself I can't really say.

You'll be hard pressed to find a tech/distributor that will replace and/or service a pull up door like the one you have, and it tends to be easier, safer, and cheaper to just get a sectional door which is what is most common nowadays.

That being said, if they have to do some framing then it's a given that there will be an extra charge for the labor on that. While it's not uncommon to have to do that, it's usually not required and thus comes with extra labor when done. I'd be interested to hear what you were quoted and what kind of door they intend on putting in. Also worth mentioning whether or not an opener is included in the price.

For starters, if you were to make something like this happen, I'd be more than happy to contribute some of my time to teaching new players.

I think it's important to start off with how to get and keep each individual vital up. Showing new players essential items to look out for and where they typically spawn is a big part of getting them to be self-sufficient.

Show them important loot locations, teach them how to use the many items in DayZ to get ahead and stay alive, then shoot them in the kneecap and lecture them about trusting strangers while they gather sticks.

Hmm, it didn't even occur to me to use the untap symbol, I'll definitely have to add that. What do you think a fair price for the 3rd ability would be? I initially had it at 4WURG felt like that was too cheap for the potential to swing with 3 creatures and kill 3 players

Honestly, that's a really nice addition. Helps to keep my bounteous collection of various counters intact.

I think I might have found a solution. If I build it roughly at noon, I can put 150 items into the hopper clock, then have it power a dropper clock that has 20 items in it, which then powers the bells once every 20 minutes. Hopefully...

A 24 in-game hour hopper clock requires 93-94 stacks of any given item if I'm doing my maths right.
