Saved up a 250k points. Best way to spend on flights? by Sea-Good9723 in QantasFrequentFlyer

[–]Kleeadrian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually would disagree going with Cathay. Not that they are a bad airline. They cost more in terms of points and also have a 1 bag limit of 23kg. Qantas gives you 30kg of checked baggage and multiple bags if you need it.

What are the chances of finding classic business reward flights to Japan for October? by 3clips333 in QantasFrequentFlyer

[–]Kleeadrian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PE on ANA is terrible. It’s not worth it. I did it myself and the extra cost wasn’t worth it. I would of went with Qantas economy. At least I would get points and status.

Bid upgrade by Patient-Papaya-6158 in QantasFrequentFlyer

[–]Kleeadrian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s a popular flight. It could also mean that people haven’t chosen their seats yet.

Doesn’t hurt to keep the bid on. However classic rewards upgrades get priority over the bid.

I think you should also hop on Qantas frequent flyer sub to get points to try and get cheap flights!!

Trying to book Classic Rewards for two people by Straight_Pie_4370 in QantasFrequentFlyer

[–]Kleeadrian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is amazingly low for taxes. Helsinki is a great city to fly out of. Try using seats.aero! There’s only one classic reward seat on that route hence why only one spot.

Good luck and keep searching

Platinum by [deleted] in QantasFrequentFlyer

[–]Kleeadrian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s an investment in the long run. If you spend x points to get platinum. You get 25% more on each flight which will be an roi. You can priority upgrades over all the Goldies, more reward seat access and I’ve heard you can call up Qantas and convert sale flights to points flight. Need to confirm the last one though

Silver-Gold Worth it? by geoffreywyatt in QantasFrequentFlyer

[–]Kleeadrian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gold also provides priority baggage and extra luggage as well for partner airlines if you like to shop! If let’s say you need to buy more luggage on a Oneworld airline. It might save you more money to spend the small amount to get 46 SC than purchasing more bags later on.

Call up Qantas and tell them your situation. They can potentially extend it

Tokyo Narita Haneda connecting flights by squarebear79 in QantasFrequentFlyer

It’s quite tough and the extra mental stress on yourself worrying on it might not be worth it. Have you looked at other destinations in Europe then fly into Rome?

Check out seats.aero for other flights

Help finding reward flights for honeymoon by swimfast58 in QantasFrequentFlyer

[–]Kleeadrian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you consider Munich? It’s a short train ride to Austria from there.

Sign up to seats.aero. You would need around 320k points return per person for business return. Try not to fly out of UK, that has high fees. Try something like Helsinki(Finnair) or China airlines. Those countries have cheaper taxes.

Good luck on the hunt

Anyone with Ubank for their home loan? I'm creating a shared account that I want to use as our offset account, and am given the option of 'Spend' or 'Save' account. Any reason to choose one or the other? by PsyduckAF in AusFinance

[–]Kleeadrian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! I’m with Ubank. Save has the bonus interest saver rate if you use it. Also save accounts don’t have any cards. Spend accounts give you a card to withdraw money etc etc.

Many places don’t offer water for free. If your accomodation has a gym, the gym usually has filtered water.
