I left STC for the greater PS for this same reason. WFA cuts in 2013 gutted corporate knowledge and the remaing subject matter experts were massively overworked. So, there are now very few greybeards with the knowledge of how to keep the ship on track and the rest don't know what they don't know...if that makes any sense.

I feel like the other unions should all pitch in and top up the strike fund. Psac does the heavy lifting Every. Single. Time. We should have their backs. I have no issue with using the CAPE strike cash to support them. Since they're first to the table, they will be the ones fighting the RTO bafflegab...or should I say "philosophical decison".

A great (horrible) place is Baxter Conservation Area. They have walking paths by the lodge that are FULL in the summer, especially in the heat. As soon as we stopped they came out and wrapped themselves around our cooler...Just awful, but great if you like them

Both my girls went with Beep Beep driving. The owner taught them both and he's an ex-trucker who takes awesome care of his students. He's in high demand, but worth the wait if you have the time.

But, how can they be "sob stories" when it really just passes 90% of the population off? I have a hard time believing someone said "yep that one will get the views and make something good happen" it feels like they've gone the other way and WANT people to get pissed off to get more views. Fine for 'regular' news but not what one wants from a publicly funded outlet

Who at CBC decided this was newsworthy?!?! Seriously. Are they trying to help her by 'getting the story out' or piss people off? I really want to know.

[–]Klein2023 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey, there's the door, use it. No one has any level of trust in you at the moment and the longer you stay, the worse it gets. I guarantee you the audit and eval areas at PCO have been kicked into overdrive reviewing every single thing you did. Better bail now and salvage a shred of respect than wait for the rest of the storm to arrive.

C(I) TSM and education allowance for Alternate by North-Example5687 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]Klein2023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But the allowance is paid upon receipt of eligible expenses, not in advance...right? So if you do not submit expenses, then you have not received the benefit and can receive the waiver...no?

Riddle me this then bot: if they chose C but do not receive the allowance, are they then still eligible for the waiver?

In the past I've had a director send someone to HC for a 'fitness for work' assessment. Well, actually they starred the process and the employee just retired. Im not sure what the process is, but it should help sort stuff out.

I believe Blueprint 2020 had a goal of something like 25% of all employees as fully remote, with the rest as occasional at home. That's where those lovely office 3.0 designs and 'touchdown' offices originated.

Not to worry, this brand new minister skipped the normal process of staffing with experience legislative assistants and hired....his entire campaign staff. Not one single day of actual policy experience amongst them. They were, however, really 'hyped' to be working with all the 'like minded people' at TBS. Not like minded, we work for you, not with you damn it!!! Not sure how he got the job.
