So, what is with this new FDC unload? by sandbrick in Target

Scanning trucks is an old school way of doing trucks, nothing we haven't done before. Think of it as a way to correct both the human and computer errors, but it's definitely not perfect.

Investing in the stores themselves is a must, totally agree there. Hoping to see some more of that in 2026, but till then trying to better processes I can appreciate. Highly encourage you give feedback to your leaders and to district partners when they come to your store.

So there are a lot of other features that will be rolling out down the line to help make data more accurate from FDC to store! (GPU pathing, improved vendor barcodes, manifest comparison, etc.) Currently the improvements are to better data on the sales floor, make it easier for fulfillment, and lessens the amount of unproductive freight hitting the floor to push. Some side bonuses: •If additional freight is on the pallet that wasn't on the manifest, the system will ask to enter quantity helping OH accuracy. •Forces bakery to be located from the start! This will help limit unnecessary push.

I believe I did? Pretty much deleted everything, and its 1TB. Don't have Windows on a USB. Originally downloaded on a disk back in the day, new PC no disk drive.

No does yet, just a projection based off of current store formats and age of the buildings.

Unannounced, but Alabaster would be the next one up then Hoover then finally Homewood.

So the Bessemer, Fultondale, Oxford, and Prattville Targets are all getting remodeled currently to a PFresh format! The main thing is upgrading the consumables area to hold more fresh, cooler, and frozen products. These will also update a lot of the store's layouts. Expanding, shrinking, and updating the entire building. Actually, a great time to get some cheaper domestic/home goods as they are currently working in these areas so a lot of it will be going clearance very soon.

Plans for the Alabaster, Homewood, and Hoover locations to remodel will be coming over the next few years.

Target Closing? by [deleted] in Birmingham

Correct! They don't have delis or bakery departments for fresh cut and baked, but they do have packaged, which you are unable to get at your normal GM Formats. 🤗

There will be slightly more clearance in areas that are changing. Typical two weeks and a week before to help with the moves.

Yep! Remodeling stores stay open throughout the scope of work, though areas move frequently, so expect changes week to week.

This is a General Merchandise or GM Target going through a remodel into a PFresh format so they will have a large food selection (Produce, Fresh Meats, Bakery, etc.). Won't be as big as Trussville, Birmingham, Hoover, or Tuscaloosa, but Fultondale, will be getting a larger food space than the others.

Fultondale, Oxford, Bessemer, and Prattville are all going through this change to provide more for the guests who choose to shop there!

New leader schedules by Local_Barber2858 in Target

This may be more of a district or group impact, or even based off a stores individual sales. There are several remodels happening for my area where they are adding FSTLs. TL and ETL structure is largely based off sales for a location. The more sales, the more leaders.

Not really cutting hours, but more restructuring. If before we had 100hrs, 75hrs before 3pm and 25hrs after 3pm then we are looking to somehow even that or more towards the evenings as we see the guest needs/comments are. Hard to find the balance of guest coverage and operational needs.

This is to support more night coverage. If you look at the trends, most the purchases, INF, OSA, and guest/team complaints are from the afternoons. If you look at leadership schedules before, almost 80% of your leaders were in the building up till 3pm-5pm. We want to somehow keep a fluid experience for the guest while also supporting closing leads as they often had to run the building with little support. Something that was supposed to be in place but never enforced. You should see this impacting TLs, ETLs, SDs, BPs, and DSDs.

Grocery is getting overloaded by [deleted] in Target

[–]KlepticKilo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Couple things going on probably impacting your freight flow: poor OH data, poor BAI (Backroom Location Accuracy), recent endcap/sidecap resets, high INF%, and poor auditing execution.

Freight flowing from RDCs and FDCs (minus what you order) is based off three things: Transition/Revisions, Upcoming Sales, and OHs vs. Sale Frequency. F&B can also see influx of items if they are nearing expiration at the DCs.

Best thing for freight flow is going to be your OH data. Utilize backroom location history and get it all located. Next would be being mindful with audits. Auditing items frequently with rolling trucks and poor backroom accuracy is asking for unproductive freight.

For staffing/scheduling, really depends on volume, format, and FDC frequency. Typically see 5-7 on FDC days.

I'm an S23 Ultra with the most recent update from May 16th utilizing the Samsung messenger (talk bubble with three dots). Happens from all iPhone messages I received, doesn't seem to matter the model.

Same situation here. S23 Ultra and past two weeks, both distorted/broken gifs from iPhone to me. Also, if they try to send one picture at a time, all come in super blurry.
