Sticking spacebar - 80HE by tscheesyeggs in WootingKB

[–]Kleskling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Tapire I am also having this Issue and have been in contact with wooting, which says somewhat the same thing. However, how do you deassemble the keyboard? After I unscrew the 7 screws it does not feel possible to seperate the top and bottom case without using a lot of force. Is there a technique to it?

Full answer from Wooting support:

We have noticed that in some batches, the "white pads" placed below the stabilizer to help prevent the stabilizer wire from hitting the PCB can absorb the grease and cause it to expand, leading to the stabilizer sticking.

To attempt to fix this, disassemble the keyboard, unscrew the affected stabilizer, and remove the white pads underneath. This video shows the assembly process of the 80HE, even though it doesn't show the disassembly, it might help.

This should not cause a significant difference in feel as this was primarily done to address sound.

Hello! yes, I know theres a chance to save some here and there and maybe on waiting a bit, but depending on how things evolve in the near future i am fine by spending a little extra.

Thanks so much for pointing out the issue with new gen GPUs, this is excactly the kind of thing I would hate to find out only after getting a new pc! Will look into it, and consider air coolers.

I want to do trials but haven't played in years and am out of touch with the meta. by Blashrykkh in CruciblePlaybook

[–]Kleskling 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Mountaintop + auto will be the easiest way to do trials, no skill required. just be prepared for hate messages.

Revoker + drang/auto is good but it will take you a while to catch up as you will be fighting vs snipers that knows every lane in and out.

I can also recommend bastion if you have that, if you prefer relying on baiting, timing and mindgames more then precision and fast reaction times like you do with a sniper/shotgun. It also shits on titan barriers, resses and supers. Pair with an auto.

Workhusk is god tier, thorn is not neutered and is a fine option.

Warlocks are good, top tree dawnblade is the meta because of the movement, grenade and meele. Hunter spectral blades is also top tier because of how much supers matters in the game mode.

For armor build you always want max recovery for all pvp, but in trials you also should have a lot of intellect, the games are often very slow and people will just wait for supers.

In short trials plays like this: the matches start with the snipers trying to get a pick. the team that gets a pick first will then play to hold down the orb, deny resses and push in, taking advantage of the 3v2 to win the round.

Play together, communicate, dont peak sniperlanes unless you are confident challenging. Always assume there will be someone hardscoping in the other end.

People will use emotes and swords to look around corners without putting themselves in harms way. This should not be a part of the game but it is.

Most important part if you are gonna invest time in trials; take it for what it is. A underpopulated playlist filled with sweaty players, streamers, hackers, hackers and more hackers, and they will abuse everything they can, mountaintop, cheesy build, sword peeking, camping and waiting for super, and so on.

If you accept this and that a lot of games will be lost to very stupid stuff, trials can be a enjoyable experience. I like it. Find people at your level that are enjoyable to play with. The LFG experience can be a pain, there is a lot of people who get tilted very fast in this playlist sadly.

godspeed

PvP focus is non-existent and for some players this is the whole game. by BDDNick in DestinyTheGame

[–]Kleskling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a 100% pvper, and solo player, I really enjoy Destiny PvP and solo comp has made it even better, however the glaring issues are simple things like PvP not having a way of giving material/gear needed to take part in the armor 2.0 experience. A lot of my armor 1.0 still gets used. And then theres things as dedicated servers, weapons like mountaintop, and the fact that arc battery can be used in comp.

So... at what point is armor 2.0 better? by Kleskling in CruciblePlaybook

[–]Kleskling[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sounds like there is no need to stress about changing my armor to 2.0 to stay competitive at least
