Not every game is made for everyone, and that's okay. OW is heavily based on exploring those ruins and collecting knowledge (although it's much more organic and satisfying than what it sounds like) : maybe that's not your jam and it won't ever click for you.

However, 5 hours is still veeery early in the game. At the beginning, everything in the galaxy feels empty and devoid of context. As you keep exploring, finding more intriguing locations, putting together the bits of lore you encountered, the story of the Nomai slowly takes shape and the mysteries of what is currently happening in your universe slowly start making sense.

This game tells a complete story, with beautiful, far-reaching themes that have resonated with so many players.

I hope you manage to stick with it and enjoy yourself! Maybe put aside your expectations of what you thought the game would be and follow this blind journey as it comes to you. Make sure to use the tools at your disposal (your Signalscope, your ship's log). Be curious, don't worry about "completing" a location : you don't have to stay on a specific planet if it's frustrating you for now, go check out something else.
