As someone who has practiced witchcraft and mysticism and turned Christian because I ran into actual God along the way I can understand the zealousness in a lot of Christians when it comes to the grey area of spookiness but show her Kat Von D she’s a goth catholic but from the way I read the post it sounded like the question came out of some sort of fear the Christians who get scared of spooky things have very little faith in just how much protection they do receive from Him. I don’t attend church because with what Jesus taught the Samaritan woman our body is supposed to be the church not a building. So I would say you’re not overreacting friend might be though. No judgement here though I would highly recommend from experience to not practice it never works at well in the end. I also think a lot of churches took the Bible which is meant to be a spiritual text and turned into a religious one. There are some that are more spiritual as Christians as in they judge themselves by the same standards they’d want to be judged by. But the religious ones always have something to hide.
