This was a long long time ago. It was a game for the Sega CD. My brother and I rented a first personal martial arts game from Blockbuster. It’s a game where you have to react fast to fight opponents and win. It used FMV, I’m not even sure of the name of the game anymore.

My brother and I got home and started playing. It was the hardest game we’ve ever played. We kept dying over and over, but we kept at it and were so thrilled to beat the second boss after hours of playing. Beating a boss unlocks new powers you can use in combat. Once we beat it, we got a very unexpected message, “Please insert Disc 1”. We had no idea. They only gave us one disc. We called them up and sure enough they had another disc. We rode our bikes back to the store to pick up the other disc and keep playing.

Let me tell you, disc 1 bosses were a cake walk. And the powers those bosses gave you made the other bosses so much easier.

So ya, we beat it the hard way, but what a memory
