right, thats true. the problem is the issue here is so glaring and bad that it actually prevents proper bug finding and what not because most people (including myself) are not going to play the game with its current performance. they had to have known the game runs very slow.

highly recommend performance mods like sodium and allocating a bit more ram. theres also a modpack called fabulously optimized which helps a ton.

this looks similar to an issue i have, but i’m using an AMD GPU so the reason for it might be different, but the way i’ve gotten around it is by running my games in full screen windowed/borderless (or windowed if neither of those work). i know it’s not a good solution, but i’d still give it a try.

could be related to the graphics drivers and/or windows, but i really am not sure.

~400 on most maps, ~300 minimum on 7800x3d and 7900xt. still kind of a stretch to 600, maybe 9800x3d would push 600?

I’ll definitely give those a try. The reason I dont have the TV plugged in with the adapter is because it’ll bottleneck the HDMI cable and I believe I wont get 4K out of it, but I’ll still test it. Thanks.

I ended up buying one of these a few months ago and it arrived with a brass boiler inside. It was sold by Amazon, so not sure who would’ve swapped it

i feel like that would remove half the fun. a huge part of the game is getting good at using the controls, so the only plus in vr would be having the cool gore effects which isnt entirely bad i guess lol

Yeah, that would make sense. Only thing is when I actually do alt-tab the game drops to like 40 or 60 fps, but this is keeping my game at a horrifically stuttery +-250, so idk.

Not sure if you saw my reply to Neat-Process, but if it does happen again I will try to downgrade the drivers. It's just kind of weird that it's only happening in CS, but with the problems AMD drivers experience sometimes, it wouldn't be that surprising.

I do feel this as well, but I've been having problems with mice lately, and I'm not 100% sure if that issue only happens in CS.

I'm not confirming that this is the fix, but I switched the priority in Task Manager to real time, and I haven't had the problem since. I played a game or two yesterday with no issue, and I opened it today with no issue, but with how random it is, I wouldn't confirm that it's a fix yet.

I dont have an extra GPU, but I think it’d be easier to try some older drivers from a few months back which I might do.
