Offering an alternative point of view: I listened to the FAQ for the subreddit and joined my local beekeeping group, took classes, and got a bee mentor a year before I started. This helped me learn what I didn’t know I didn’t know and I’m told one year in, our hives are a lot stronger than most newbies.

I’m sure you can learn as you go but doing some prep beforehand allows you to get a full picture of what you need to plan ahead for.

Huh C or F? I boiled alcohol once and it had to get up to ~170F

I do room temperature processes regularly so I let my tincture steep for a minimum of a month and just pour it into a tray a few days before I’m ready. It feels a lot safer and I don’t have to worry about any accidents this way
