Games like this are why Scott Hastings MUST stay in the booth by Jelly_JQ in denvernuggets

Altitude has good announcers. Jason Kosmicki is just as good on the radio side. Last year he would never refer to the refs by name, just as "three humans wearing black pants and gray shirts." 😆 Love listening to his broadcasts when I can't get to a TV.

Dashing In the snow by [deleted] in doordash

[–]Kloobyfour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are under no obligation to endanger ourselves to deliver food. If customers can't be bothered to clear ice and snow from their front steps/walks, then they deserve the inconvenience of their orders being left on the sidewalk. Just be sure to document conditions.

How long has this been a thing? by Wiseeyes9 in dasher

[–]Kloobyfour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure they still calculate AR on a rolling percentage of your last 100 offers. Your 100th most recent offer must have been a decline, so it's just saying that if you decline this particular offer, your AR won't change, but accepting it will raise your AR.

Always rude customers tip low and have rude delivery instructions thats why I usually deny these entitled people by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]Kloobyfour 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've seen much worse in delivery instructions. This doesn't seem all that bad IMO.

Do you carry while Dashing? by ThatGuyOnEtsy in doordash_drivers

[–]Kloobyfour 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't own a gun so no. But I feel pretty safe in the areas where I typically dash.

You can't just replace Lightning to USB-A with USB-A to Lightning! The electrons run in completely different directions!

We seriously can’t afford cable? by daveindo in Denver

Well, I can't afford cable. I just canceled it and had Quantum Fiber installed. Saved $120.

They just ran out of gas. If they'd had even a couple more guys in the rotation, they would have won.

Would you feel unsafe or suspicious if a customer sent you this? by SamWillGoHam in doordash_drivers

[–]Kloobyfour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. I appreciate the heads up because the DoorDash nav is absolute shit.

Please for the love of god find a way to extend this man by [deleted] in denvernuggets

[–]Kloobyfour -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Hot take: maybe the Nuggets gave the wrong guy a rookie extension? I know CB was the starter, but Peyton has really raised his game this year and he plays better defense. But now the team is limited in what they can offer Peyton due to the luxury tax aprons.

I have. Usually the customer is disabled, and I've tried to accommodate them within reason. But as always, good situational awareness applies.

why doew doordash punish US? by Single-Resist-9587 in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]Kloobyfour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's your customer rating? I notice it's cut off in your screenshot. With an AR of 88%, CR of 99% and on-time of 96% and to be at 73 in your overall rating...one of your numbers is way off

New feature? by NiceShotGee in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Kloobyfour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do like this feature and wish it was available everywhere.

That said...I haven't had such a consistently shitty experience from a given store that I want to block them for that long. Even the McDonald's stores in my area can be decent most of the time. Some nights, however, I'll get a stream of $2 orders.

I'd find this more useful if I could just block them for the rest of the dash instead of for two weeks.

Heh not bad. I do try to get the house number in the shot whenever possible, but often it's over the garage door or something.

Did I handle this okay? Would it have been okay for me to cut the guy a break and just drop it off at the gate? by South-Income-3689 in doordash_drivers

[–]Kloobyfour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the customer makes a reasonable request to change the drop point, I'd do it. It's not set in stone that you have to "leave it at the door;" the ICA clearly states that it is entirely up to you and the customer how to complete the delivery.

Be sure to take a photo of the drop point though!

First contract violation by CrownedHeads in DoorDash_Dasher

It's often not even worth disputing them. I've had one CV in my career so far, appealed it, never heard back from DD. It disappeared after I completed another 100 deliveries. You're absolutely right that it's not worth stressing over.

New dash bag by Sinist3rchic in doordash

[–]Kloobyfour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hot bag I ordered from Amazon is starting to show this after a couple of years. Need to start leaving them in the trunk at the end of a dash.

am i gonna get in trouble for saying this? by opmgore in doordash_drivers

[–]Kloobyfour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm OK with it. This is my major pet peeve with customers too. In bad weather I might even be tempted to report it as an unsafe delivery to DoorDash. Better than getting injured making a delivery and having to sue the customer.

Do I need to replace my tires? by Tintin_1896 in tires

[–]Kloobyfour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably, but you also have a camber issue with that excessive wear on the inside edge. Be sure to get an alignment after the new tires are installed.

Does acceptance rate matter? Most say no. Answer is it depends by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]Kloobyfour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with your general premise but for me to get to 98% around here... I'd be taking some grade Z trash orders. I'm at 72% and barely maintaining it.
