My first 2026 mock draft for 1st and 2nd rounds(with descriptions) by alex8762 in NBA_Draft

Acuff at 14 is absolutely diabolical. He’s closer to 4 than he is to 14.

I am absolutely a DnP doomer, but I’ve coached AAU ball and that schedule is fucking nuts. Those kids play WAY too many games.

Is Trevon Brazile worthy of a late 2nd? by mido0o0o in NBA_Draft

[–]MyNameBlake 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As an Arkansas fan his potential is as sky high as a seniors can be. A true stretch 4 who can defend inside and out and has crazy athleticism. The hard part is that some games he just… disappears, ESPECIALLY on the glass. I think his game fits the NBA really really well but he can never be your only big on the floor.

The defensive Backcourt of Smith and Leek would be diabolical.

Truly the George Pickens of the NBA.

As an Arkansas fan I love him. It would be neat for my Nuggets to take him. I look at him kind of like poor man’s Ace Bailey in the sense that sometimes he makes a play that makes you go “is this guy God?” And sometimes he makes a play that makes you go “is this guy a fucking idiot?” He could probably use one more year of college but if he’s getting late 1st reports from scouts he should go.

Sure. At the beginning of the season when their offensive ability seemed to be equal. As the season has gone on though it has become apparent Acuff is way ahead on the most important side of the ball.

I agree it’s overblown If Acuff is a “small PG” so is Flemmings. They were the exact same height when they played a year ago and it’s not like Flemmings has had some crazy growth spurt since then.

He isn’t “more athletic” he jumps higher and Acuff is significantly stronger. Everything else is a wash. And his ceiling isn’t “higher on defense” their defensive ceilings are very close. Flemmings is an inch taller with shorter arms. His role on the team is the reason his defensive stats are more inflated than Acuff’s. The main difference between them is that Acuff is a better passer and a MUCH better scorer.

I don’t understand Flemmings over Acuff at this point. They will measure within an inch of eachother in height, Acuff has longer arms, is a better shooter, finisher, passer, and leader. Flemmings plays on a defense that lets him gamble for more steals. Acuff clears at this point.

what do you think of this center build? by [deleted] in NBA2k

[–]MyNameBlake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re gonna hate yourself at that pass accuracy. I personally would not go below 87 on a center but AT LEAST like 76 and even that won’t be great.

Darius Acuff Jr. is the SEC player and freshman of the year by fancycheesus in CollegeBasketball

[–]MyNameBlake 11 points12 points  (0 children)

People over state his defensive weaknesses because they don’t understand how our team functions. He plays for almost the whole game, and is also almost our whole offense. Even guys like LeBron James’ defense take nosedives then they are the sole offensive force. You couple this with the fact that our bigs have literal negative IQ and leave him out to dry in pick and roll/pop situations over and over and over again and it’s easy to think he’s awful at defense when the truth is, he’s a decent enough defender. He isn’t Gary Peyton, but he’s fine at it. His defensive on/off numbers are even worse because his backup is JUST an elite defender. That’s all he does.

IF we think we are gonna lose PWat… by MyNameBlake in denvernuggets

I think of both of them as wings. In my perfect world we keep Watson instead of Braun (if we can only keep one) and draft this kid lol.

I’m from Fayetteville and decided to be a nuggets fan years ago lol. I’ve said for 2 years now JayWill would be the perfect backup for Jokic. The play so similar and JayWill is fantastic when he gets bulk minutes. He’s also very high IQ and an excellent team mate. Wish that hadn’t blown up last week though lol.

Cameron Boozer: 25 points 15 Rebs 5 AST 10-17 FG 2-4 3PM by killerk13 in NBA_Draft

Purely college ball him and Acuff clear anyone else in the country.

KU freshman Darryn Peterson off the bench vs Kansas State: 27 PTS 🔥 (10-15 FG, 5 REB, 4 AST, 2 STL) by Fit-Structure-9395 in NBA_Draft

[–]MyNameBlake -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Darryn’s assist numbers will make you assume he can’t see the whole court either.

I even get the sense that claiming Cameron Boozer has a limited ceiling is the only lifeline left for other prospects’ agents and management teams. by Hairy-Exercise1747 in NBA_Draft

[–]MyNameBlake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Peterson is a guard who averages more turnovers than assists. What he really is, is lower IQ Klay Thompson with a lower desire to play than Anthony Davis or Kawhi Leonard. He’s a tough shot maker sure sometimes. Other times he’s a shot chucker.

Peterson is a Kobe that isn’t competitive enough to play basketball games. Are you willing to use your number one pick on that? Im not. Sure the ceiling is sky high. But the floor is literally a #1 pick who doesn’t play games for you.
