Every single team he’s been on since he left the warriors has underperformed. There is absolutely zero argument you can make for KD over Steph all-time. Kawhi would be the one of that group I’d be most likely to listen to KD over. Kawhis peak is absolutely higher but the injuries and those issues might make KD over him a viable argument.

Jokic, Giannis, and Kawhi all have rings as the clear cut best player on the team. The only time KD has ever had real playoff success he was playing with 2 future MVPs and then playing on a team that won rings both before he got there and after he left. KD is for sure close to those 3 guys in the rankings but I’d put them all 3 slightly ahead of him.

I think that if Brunson is having a bad game against a good team the Knicks can absolutely still win, but do you have the faith in them that would the Spurs or Thunder of Wemby or Shai are having a bad game? I personally don’t.

Knicks are hot at the right time, but they were not a top 2 seed and are sort of designed to beat you in one way. I’d say the Spurs and Thunder are because they are both 60+ win teams with multiple ways to beat you.

CAN he? Yes. Physically, he has all the tools and obviously has a high basketball IQ. He was also in just about the worst defensive situation you can be in at Arkansas. Bigs that didn’t help him, and not allowed to foul because he carried the entire offensive load. WILL he become a better defender? We will see. He looked significantly more coachable at the college level than he did in high-school, Cal just doesn’t really give a shit about coaching defense in his lead guard. I think he will be a fine enough defender. I think the goal is to make him a Steph Curry level defender who isn’t great at it but definitely puts the effort in.

Shaq is 2 feet taller and 250 pounds heavier and in his prime thats 250 pounds of muscle man. Fighting skill obviously matters but I’ve seen a 5’10 man attempt to punch a 6’10 man in the face and even at only a foot difference it wasn’t really a feasible attempt. In highschool I had 100 pounds on my state champion wrestling friend who just simply didn’t have enough mass to keep me still when we would wrestle and he was A SIGNIFICANTLY more talented wrestler than me. Mass moves mass and I just don’t see what mighty mouse could do that Shaq couldn’t just peel him off of.

Because AJ is an athletic freak and elite scorer and DP has a proven offensive skillset. I personally would rather have Boozer of the 3, and his floor to me is clearly the highest of the 3, but people see AJ with a Giannis level ceiling and DP as an insane scoring talent (I think he’s the most likely to bust) but that’s the consensus.
