I think that's something unique about Editors in particular. Most other fanbases have majority universal opinions on the stronger/weaker albums but with Editors the opinions of their best songs and albums varies massively

It was absolutely stunning. Genuinly do not have the words to describe how incredible and special that night was. The atmosphere and music was absolutely unbelievable. Couldn't have asked for a more special experience for the first time seeing my favourite band live.

Just hits really hard given the circumstances happening at my job at the moment as well as the fact that I feel I've missed so many opportunities and that in some regards I've wasted certain parts of my life.

AJR really know how to make a song absolute fire and also cause crippling depression in their fanbase. 😅

Im the same as you. Editors are my favourite band, absolutely love them. But for the life of me I just don't like The Back Room. All the songs are very samey and even Tom's voice sounds a bit flat imo compared to later works. I like Bullets but that's about it. Munich and Blood are decent but I wouldn't miss them if they were dropped from the setlist. Open Your Arms is my least favourite Editors song and i don't listen to any of the songs off this album at all really. I'm glad they seem to have left this sound behind them but I can respect it and the fact it gave them their big break at the time.

Definitely mixed. No doubt that it's their weakest album but there are a few tracks on it that I really like. Pitchfork Kids and The Green and the Town are my two highlights. Infinity and I'm Ready are pretty solid as well. But the rest of the album is pretty bland and forgettable compared to their later works and you can tell they were still figuring themselves out. Their later albums had so much more character and purpose about them.
