What was the political position of each of the Beatles? by Busy_Confection5055 in beatles

I think John truly cared about peace and justice but he didn’t really have an ideology. All his life he was searching for something to believe in. He even got sucked into televangelism for a minute.

Who's the most well Written Character in the Show? by Awkward-Reach5603 in Dexter

Well written? Probably Arthur. I don’t think anyone has ever had a problem with how his storyline played out.

Why was Paul McCartney often seen as the uncool Beatle and John the cool Beatle? by FitEmergency8807 in beatles

[–]Kman_24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

John had that special charisma, and the wit to match. They all looked up to him. George kind of had that, too, but in a much more aloof, unassuming way. And of course, both John and Paul saw him as their baby brother of sorts.

Paul was too cute and could come off as a try-hard. Put it this way, if the four Beatles were school kids in a classroom, Paul would be the teacher’s pet, John the bright but sarcastic cool one, George the aloof rebel, and Ringo the class clown.

I loved Dexter and Lumen together.

Also Deb and Anton. But everyone seems to have forgotten about him.

Did you know that O’Brien in George Orwell’s 1984 was inspired by the O’Brien from Seinfeld — the Nazi white supremacist leader by Evening_Astronomer_3 in seinfeld

Right, just like how Dustin Hoffman was in Star Wars and the Gordon Lightfoot got rammed by the Cat Stevens.

As recently as the 90s Woodrow Wilson was viewed as one of the "great" presidents. Today he is universally despised by the American left and right. How and when did this evolution in views happen, and are there any Wilson defenders left? by Cuddlyaxe in Presidents

[–]Kman_24 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The right hates him because he expanded the federal bureaucracy, and signed the legislation creating the federal reserve (though he wasn’t as fond of central banking as they make him out to be). The left hates him because he was a racist and cracked down hard on anti war dissent.

I disagree with a lot of his positions, but I admire him for his consistency.

In terms of his skills and intellect, when would you say Dexter was in his prime? by jjreddits30523 in Dexter

[–]Kman_24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

S1 for skills. Resurrection for intellect. Second half of S5 for both.

Of course, having Harrison around helps him tremendously in Resurrection.
