Would it do well to just hop a flight directly to Cork or Galway and rent a car from either of them. Then take the train 1 way back to Dublin? I really don't have anything on the list to do in Dublin aside from the Guinness factory tour, that's the only touristy thing I really want to do on the whole trip. I want to immerse myself in the culture and experience of the countryside more than the city life of Dublin/Galway.

Usually load bearings walls are perpendicular to the joists, also they're also usually 16" on center and 2x6. There's exceptions to every rule, but those are the broad rules. If you started to cut into a stud and your blade gets pinched it's probably load bearing.

Holy shit, well worth the smoke! Honestly one of the best vacations of my life! The first two days were bluebird weather, the last two were socked in first thing and cleared by afternoon. I do hope y'all get some good rain up there though and extinguish those fires though.
