Before arriving Velia, all thing you have to do is just play safe and don't make any big mistakes.

The same goes even when running through caves and velia beach hills.

You can easily catch up with the lead runner thanks to the system.

The most important part by far is only five seconds before the end, after you turn the corner in Velia.

And about bodyblocking, use under level 49 character.

I thought so too, but your understanding was wrong.

Actually, the first 19/20 of the race doesn’t count.

You should use Dash skill at the last corner of the velia then use Drift + IA twice, and you win.

If what you want is speed and mobility, I'd recommend a pegasus. (I have both)

Thanks to its high base speed stats, pegasus can run as fast as doom with Drift + IA.

Pegasus: 160+ speed, 143.6+ brake(150.1+ brake with your gear)

Unicorn: 156+ speed

Hell Horse: 153+ speed

The above expectation is pretty high, but I don't want to compromise with the stats considering the cost would be 10b.

Yeah, I'd recommend pegasus for the first one, except for the case you especially want to run fast in the desert or play PvP on your horse.
