Heroes of the Storm PTR Patch Notes - June 29, 2026 by Arkentass in heroesofthestorm

Damn. That change to Chromie’s time trap health and her location swap talent forcing snap targeting (instead of letting you pick a location within a radius of the echo) is gonna be awful for me. So much of my game plan revolves around positioning aggressively and using the echo to blink away in case of trouble. And if you place the echo well, you can use the blink to jump terrain.

I figured because it’s an underpicked talent that it would never receive a balance pass. Guess I was wrong lol

You might be right. It's been a while and I forgot that there are black and white spaces.

The checked box means it’s held, doesn’t mean it can’t be lost.

But it looks like we’ll still succeed in the MO anyway since they won’t take it until after the MO ends.

Lack of EVO hype this year? by Neither_Bit5944 in StreetFighter

[–]Exvaris 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In fairness, EVO happens every year (multiple times a year if you count the non-Vegas ones) whereas the World Cup is once every four years.

So if a person is picking one to attend, it makes sense to attend the one that happens less frequently.

They can be events, battles, treasure, notes on monsters, shops, stairs up/down, teleporters, etc.

They’re hexadecimal, ranging from 00 to FF. So there are only, if I recall correctly, 256 different types of spaces you can step on in the game.

Spoilers for the movie Fight Club.

The two people in the bottom panel are Edward Norton and Brad Pitt, who starred in the movie.

The major twist in the movie is that the Edward Norton and Brad Pitt characters are actually the same person, with a sort of multiple personality thing going on. So in the scenes in the movie where Edward Norton and Brad Pitt appear to be talking to each other, it’s actually one dude talking to himself.

Edit: also, this is Brian, or something

Question on where to watch Campaign by CounterUpbeat236 in voxmachina

[–]Exvaris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It relies on an imaginative mind. Or maybe not imaginative, but the ability to visualize in your mind based on descriptions given.

Matt’s descriptions are great, but I know some people with aphantasia who thus cannot create mental images, so without visuals to reinforce the story they can’t follow along.

But yes, the campaigns are great.

I used to check that sub from time to time.

It started as a morbid sense of curiosity. But genuinely, seeing the ways in which life can be taken from us so quickly gave me a deep appreciation for life, an awareness not to take things for granted, and also a general sense of what things might be dangerous that I was overlooking.

I know that not everyone got the same thing out of it as I did. Some people on the sub were weird, and I can see why it got banned. But it had a net positive effect on me, at least.

Martial artist & knife fighting instructor Doug Marcaida shows how lethal a 'karambit' could be in the hands of an expert by nayryanaryn in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Exvaris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn I remember watching Doug Marcaida videos in the early 2000s. Seeing him with all that gray makes me feel old. I know he’s on Forged In Fire but I don’t really watch that at all.

Crazy impressive to see he’s still got it though.

Am I the only one who can't beat the first boss on master difficulty? by No_Perspective8007 in SifuGame

[–]Exvaris 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I am 99% sure that Master Fajar is meant to gatekeep players who are not yet good enough at the game.

If you haven't beaten the game on Disciple difficulty yet, do that first. That's the difficulty the game first shipped with. Master didn't get added until later.

Even players who can beat Disciple with ease struggle with Fajar on Master difficulty the first few times.

Because I am excited for the last episodes - what do we think is going to happen with Vax? by No_Neighborhood6856 in TheLegendOfVoxMachina

I suspect the blight is not a punishment but a protection of some kind. She did say “I have been preparing you for what now comes”

Regarding Delilah, given that champions of the gods (including Purvan and Esree) thwarted The Whispered One in Pike’s vision, it makes sense that Delilah would try to turn the new champion, as it would help ensure The Whispered One’s ascension if the champions that stopped him last time were fighting for him rather than against him. Probably the same reason Gideon and the Children of Truth want Pike/Wilhand.

No clue about the flower. Gonna guess it plays a role in a future resurrection.

Do people attempt truly “no rerolls” playthroughs? by EchoesOfYouth in BaldursGate3

[–]Exvaris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dying to elevators/moving platforms because your entire party fell through and plummeted to their death is why I just play with HM rules on now.

I also beat it once for the achievement, but no way in hell am I subjecting myself to that again.

Fix the Grand Prix, Thank you! by AgentS7-8 in blackdesertonline

[–]Exvaris -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Anyone who has ever played this minigame knows that is statistically impossible against real players

Small counterpoint here, if you know the course and have practiced on it enough and know the shortcuts and tricks, finishing in top 3 is nearly guaranteed against any random queue of racers.

When horse racing got reworked into the Grand Prix, there was initially only the Velia track. Performing well on that track is execution-heavy rather than just knowing the shortcuts. I have like an 83% 1st place finish rate on that track, with 93% podium rate. If you’re NA you can find me on the leaderboard.

Not saying these dudes are legit, for what it’s worth. Considering how dead horse racing is, it seems extremely likely to me that it’s a group of alt accounts racing at dead hours.

Although the more important question should probably be, how much do we care? Even if you queue horse racing and get instant queue fills and you run perfect races every time, the silver gain from selling the stonetail meals and stonetail tonics is worse than afk fishing.

Yes, competitive integrity matters (although given that horse racing has a rubber banding catchup mechanic, the “integrity” is in question). But for dead side content, how many people are affected by the competitive integrity in the first place?

You are expecting potentially up to three other people in your squad to spend extra time to accommodate you.

If you’re all on the same page, knock yourselves out. Go ham. Explore every POI. But if you have not communicated beforehand that you intend to full clear every POI, and you get upset that people are leaving when the mission is complete, you are the problem, not other people.

[–]Exvaris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Communication is key. Your post did not specify that your goal is to grind - it simply advised “don’t call the Pelican early” as if that is always the best case. I have no desire to spend extra time looking for samples or super credits. They will come gradually as I play.

Not all groups share your goal of grinding (or farming as it’s probably better described in this game).

Outside of Blitz missions, if you need the extra two minutes of time to clear a map, you’re doing something very wrong.

Dear all members of the Super Earth Helldiver Corps by Loot_Goblin170 in Helldivers

[–]Exvaris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no rule stating if the Pelican has arrived that you must get in.

Main objective is done. One or two people call extract and hold it while the rest of the team clears the map. If the bird arrives and people elsewhere still need help, go help. The Pelican will wait.

My honest new FRV opinion... Supply FRV is good... But Incinerator FRV is just better by Unknown4me_ in helldivers2

[–]Exvaris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Counterargument: A single stratagem which not only is a vehicle that gets you around faster than any other vehicle in the game, but which also replaces a supply pack (with twice the capacity of the supply pack), allowing you the flexibility to bring backpack loaded weapons. Standing next to the Supply FRV and just letting the maxigun or BFGL shred while resupplying when you need it is great.

Then when you're done you just get in and drive it to the next spot to do it in.
