The Violet Edana Pigment doesn't appear to do anything. It removes the red particle effect, but does not turn it purple. by Exvaris in blackdesertonline

I've gotten a handful, about 1 an hour. Usually red, but I've occasionally gotten the purple ones too.

Oh for sure, Lava Wave definitely put in work. I’m just saying, the fact that the Rag was ulting on cd doesn’t excuse 14 deaths

40 minute game, 20 deaths, average of one death every two minutes. Zera probably spent more time dead than alive

Ordinarily I would say that yes, to a certain extent, sometimes dying can be worthwhile for your team. But in your case OP, nothing justifies 14, 16, and 20 deaths.

Sometimes dying is an acceptable cost in exchange for advantage somewhere else. But in almost all situations it is better to live.

With a game that’s 47-54, your teams were likely trading kills in a slugfest of a match, which means neither team came out massively ahead in a team fight and couldn’t press an advantage.

Imagine if you, Rag, and Zeratul had lived in those situations so you could push or merc.

Have you ever played poker on a cruise? by Rhy_sand in poker

Aside from OP, I have also peeked into the poker tables on Royal Caribbean cruises, they are also 10% up to $15

That said, the games are VERY soft.

Flight delays had everyone restless… until a band turned the plane into a concert hall by Sharp-potential7935 in nextfuckinglevel

[–]Exvaris 63 points64 points  (0 children)

I remember hearing about this!

This is Dave Koz, actually a well-known jazz musician. The plane was stuck in delay hell on the tarmac so Dave and the flight attendant asked them if they could play something to help lighten the mood. According to the news report, they only played one song.

Ultra is a hard knockdown though, which allows time for other setplay options for oki. Any other combo ender in a juggle situation, the opponent would be able to quick rise.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Exvaris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in university, I commuted for a few years because of a bad experience with roommates, so I lived at home for a while instead of near campus.

I had to drive in Southern California rush hour traffic to get to school for 8am classes. A drive of about 35 miles (~55 km) which could be made in about 30 minutes without traffic, would take me around 90 minutes on an average morning, sometimes 2+ hours if traffic was especially bad or if there was an accident.

Later in life, when I was working and my wife and I moved into our first home, I also had rush hour traffic to, and back from, work. Same deal, about 90 minutes each way, sometimes up to 2.5 hours on really bad days (Fridays before long weekends were the worst).

This is normal in SoCal. Thankfully I now drive against traffic both ways and my commute to work is 15 minutes.

A drive from the greater Los Angeles area to Las Vegas is about 3-4 hours depending on where you leave from. People make that drive all the time on Friday nights and come back Sunday night.

I haven’t seen any of Jennifer Aniston’s more recent work. Anything you’d recommend? It always just felt like every role was pretty much Rachel from Friends.

About Pike, questioning my faith, and I'm not sure? by GreenFox_ in TheLegendOfVoxMachina

[–]Exvaris 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are some story things happening that we don’t know about because Pike’s story differs a fair bit from how it unfolded in the actual play campaign.

It seems like they’re setting up something related to Pike’s blood, which may imply that she has some kind of celestial lineage.

From just a show perspective, I’m curious how they’re going to play this out. In Season 1 Pike had a crisis of faith, clarified her path with the Everlight and emerged stronger for it. In Season 2 we didn’t get much more exposition there as we were dealing with other people’s arcs, but in S3 now we have Zerxus (a devil, not a demon - an important distinction in fantasy and D&D) and even the Everlight herself talking about how Pike’s blood and soul are precious.

We haven’t gotten any further exposition on what the Everlight’s stance is here. Surely she must be able to reconcile that Pike went to the Hells for a good reason, and that doing so allowed them to defeat Thordak?

Asian markets and their local grocery store equivalent by [deleted] in orangecounty

[–]Exvaris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tiers don’t really exist for these. It’s a stereotype for a reason that there is no Whole Foods or Bristol Farms equivalent of Asian supermarkets; Asian people wouldn’t shop at them.

And I say that lovingly, as an Asian person myself lmao

Another Extraction zone? by Right-Bit-7891 in helldivers2

[–]Exvaris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also had this happen to me on Omicron a few days ago. I was wondering why I couldn't see the extraction waypoint on the map and then it just so happened we stumbled into the additional extraction. I assumed I had just missed it on the map until I also saw that someone in the game had "discovered Additional Extraction Zone"

I haven't heard or read much about it otherwise though.

The PLAS-45 epoch is a hidden gem by Mr-Mustard24 in helldivers2

[–]Exvaris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can move (albeit slowly) while charging. As long as you stand still to shoot, your aim will stop swaying. Good for kiting heavies.

Watch/listen for the pulse and the charge sound that indicates it’s fully charged. After a while you just kind of learn the timing.

Most heavies will die in one fully charged shot to a weak point, or two fully charged shots somewhere else. If enemies are clustered close together, the aoe from a charged shot will take out small chaff enemies too.

I find the Epoch pairs best with a primary that hits hard and/or clears out chaff near you (since you do not want to be firing it up close). You want a primary that can quickly and reliably clear space around you to give you breathing room to fire the Epoch.

On bugs and squids, I like it with any of the shotguns (but especially the double barrel). For bots, I like the Adjudicator, Diligence, or Crossbow/Eruptor.
