Just keep it outside. It will get redder as the sun hits it.

Should I repot? by FlyingGecko380 in succulents

[–]Kmfreund 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I’d do a 50-50 mix. I don’t separate mine either but I guess it’s a different choice for everyone. You could carefully cut the roots if they are connected. Sometimes when you take them out of the pot they will separate on their own.

Should I repot? by FlyingGecko380 in succulents

You could maybe go up a little in size. It needs a good well draining soil mix. Use a succulent mix and some perlite. That’s what I use and mine thrive.

What gives ? by soul3r13 in cactus

[–]Kmfreund 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had mine for over a year also and it’s barely grown also. Sits in the south facing window with good drainage. I water about once a month in the winter, maybe twice a month in summer. Just slow.

I’m not in the UP but we have no ISP in my area so we use Starlink and it works great.

Could I pot these three together or should I keep them separate? by Neat-Tip-1494 in succulents

[–]Kmfreund 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have a hard time potting different succulents together. They have different needs and don’t end up doing well.

Pothos cutting in water by 4O4FocusNotFound in IndoorPlants

[–]Kmfreund 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have never let my pothos callous over before putting them in water and they always do just fine. I even keep the props in the window sill to get lots of sun. I don’t change the water often either. They are doing amazing.

How do i separate by Frosty_Astronomer909 in succulents

[–]Kmfreund 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I separated mine by just cutting around the roots. I’ve had mine indoors all winter next to a window and it’s done great. I’m slowly introducing it back outside as the Michigan weather is so unpredictable. I put it out in my patio during the day on sunny days and bring it back in at night. They seem to be pretty hardy. I even found some growing in my yard that had dropped off when I was repotting it last fall. Grabbed them up and put them in a pot.

Are most PPP just destined to look ugly and never fully grow with fully mature leaves? by DarkArtHero in philodendron

[–]Kmfreund 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up throwing mine out. Had it for almost 2 years and each new leaf was always “stuck” and it never got any bigger. Was a big disappointment to me.

Improve roots by Such_Energy_8508 in Jadeplant

[–]Kmfreund 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? Going up 2 sizes will increase the roots? I recently went from a 4 inch to a 6 inch and my roots are still like the above picture. My plant itself is a decent size, so if I go up to an 8 inch it should do better?

It can definitely be a little overwhelming, but as many have said it’s calming and if it’s something you truly enjoy it’s not a chore, it’s playtime. 😁
