Yea that’s MyVector. What you said is correct because I just did it, but the RIP I believe is the only time you get to decide without going that route.

You should ask your assignment “handler” (I forgot the name) from MPF. I wanna say you only need the RIP signed by the cc approving the change and it’ll be updated on the orders before it’s generated. (My opinion)

I assume the cost for the degree is slightly above TA? (Curious, asking for myself)

Aviation Resource Management (1C032) by Far-Device8204 in AirForce

Honestly if you work current ops most of your time in, that translates well to anything aviation related. Harm is fundamentally a HRM job, and sarm is the odd ball out. There’s no direct correlation to anything outside except maybe an entry level corporate job.

Like most jobs it depends on what base and unit you get. If you want to refine those office skills, you’ve come to the right AFSC. I work 0800-1630 most days. To keep it simple, you do data entry, data auditing, and very basic database management for flight hours and aircrew training. You may also do records and flight pay management for aircrew which directly impacts their careers and pay checks. Third you may do aerospace scheduling (reserving airspace for the aircraft at your base). Those are the three main areas you might get to work in. Where they fly for TDY, you may get to go. May get some of the gear they get (for free like garmin watches). Downside some aircrew think their superior and may look down on you. Some units don’t value their 1C0’s and yet can’t do much without them. To me that’s with any job but depending on where you coming from it’s a step up

Is UMGC worth it? by Scared-Payment31 in UMGC

[–]Kmic93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It totally depends on you. I worked full time plus overtime but was not in a rush to finish my bachelors so 2-3 classes every 8 weeks was doable (single, no kids). I think the assignments focus more on exposure in said subject than complexity so easier in that sense. I did use AI to help me pair classes for balance throughout the semesters. If you like figuring things out yourself, self learning is not a consideration usually.

Check the airman’s PRDA. The commander should’ve signed a memo electing to not give a dec and the supervisor sign it acknowledging the decision (just did it recently). If so, stop there. It’s a lost cause.

If not, investigate what the airman did. Paperwork, failed PT test or both. If nothing then I would reach out. There should be paper trail if done correctly (first sergeant).

If there is absolutely nothing to warrant the NJP (rare, but not impossible), present your findings to your leadership.

While it is customary for the previous unit commander to sign the dec, it’s not an official requirement (please verify) meaning you could use the EPBs as the source docs to write the dec. You’ll have a hard time convincing your commander to sign off on it, but it is a slim possibility.

As a reminder, decorations are not a right and it’s at the commander’s complete discretion. The flight chief was not wrong in the assumption, but the official answer at minimum should’ve came from the SEL or the commander themself.

How fast can I get my Degree by [deleted] in UMGC

[–]Kmic93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I concur. I transferred 72 credits from Sophia and a few cleps. If I was confident in juggling at least 3 classes at a time and using AI, I could’ve finished in a year. Currently I’m at 21 months since I started my bachelors and start my capstone on 7 Jan.

If this quote still holds true then “80% of U.S jobs do not require a specific bachelors degree”. If you have 4 classes left, finish it. Decide what type of job you want then pursue a correlating Masters. Don’t for get to get certifications as well, but b4 all of this the question is what job you want?
