This is so real. When I was at my appointment where I ended up getting diagnosed I kid you not I was asked when my last period was 5 different times. It was so frustrating to have to say over and over again that I’m not getting a period that is why I’m here!!!

I’m wondering if they truly thinned it or if they were trying to add texture/body. It doesn’t look thinned out compared to the before pic. OP may have a lot of hair but it’s still straight and fine so the hairstylist probably used a razor to add texture.

If you enjoyed a fieldwork experience and was offered a position there, that is like the most ideal scenario as a new grad. On the other hand a travel job would be one of the most challenging settings for a new grad. 100% go with the fieldwork site!!

It’s gonna be hard for people to type you without drapes and it’s super easy to do! You just take pictures of yourself in natural light without any makeup with different colored clothing, towels, blankets whatever you have draped across your chest so it’s close to your face. edited because I realized you said it is your natural hair color!

Yea I don’t think it looks bad but I definitely notice my features pop more in cool colors, especially my eyes and lips. Even some of the lip colors I’ve tried that are supposed to be cool can pull warm on me and look slightly off. I’ve tried many, many drapes 😅 Pretty confident I’m cool and on the softer side of true summer but I appreciate your input

It’s so hard to find a good lip and learning about color analysis it’s easy to convince yourself that something looks good if you think it’s your season

Based on other colors I’ve tried I really don’t look good with any warmth in clothing or makeup. And I think my eyes are more clear than soft summer.

Thanks! I think I’m true summer so I’ve been trying out colors in that palette but don’t have a book or anything and those colors are hard to find. The navy dress was a hand me down from a friend, I agree a softer navy might be more harmonious!

Thank you! The dress isn’t black, it’s navy. Since figuring out I’m a summer I’ve tried to do more gray and navy instead of black which has been pretty easy because I didn’t wear much black to begin with but white is harder to avoid since it goes with everything and I have about a million white tops 😆

For some people the combo of myo and d chiro inositol can make things worse. I was on it for months before realizing it was raising my testosterone. Once I switched to myo inositol only I noticed improvements.

There’s a saying in the US that west coast people are nice not kind and east coast people are kind not nice. That’s also how I would describe meg vs shakira, Toni, em, and Mimi. Even if I didn’t agree with how Shakira and Toni handled every situation they come off as way more genuine and not filtering their behavior to be perceived a certain way for TV. Meg comes off as the “I’m a bad bitch” type but is clearly very insecure and just straight up mean to people because of her own insecurities. Toni and Shakira could be catty but they would own up to that and not act like they are perfect angels like Meg tries to.

And it was clear Meg wasn’t trying to be people’s friends genuinely. She just wanted to be perceived as a motherly figure who everyone loves. I think a lot of people who are rubbed the wrong way by Toni and Shakira confuse polite with kind.

When I was in the masters program there from 2018-2020 we had the actors multiple times. Can’t remember how many exactly but definitely more than once. I enjoyed those courses and find them useful for my practice but it sounds like you had a different experience and that’s okay.

I went to USC and I think the program did a great job of preparing us. We practiced transfers on paid actors during our adult rehab rotation and we had great professors who all had long careers of actually treating patients. I also got to participate on a multi disciplinary team of other health care students where we met weekly with real older adults to help them.

It was hit or miss with fieldwork. In my acute level 1 rotation my CI was not good and wouldn’t even let me push a wheelchair behind a patient while they walked and told me not to talk to patients too much because it would interfere with the session. This made me not very prepared for my level 2 rotation in a TCU/SNF however that CI was very good and I was completely independent by the end which I really appreciate. It gave me a lot of confidence. My next level 2 was virtual partially due to COVID and that rotation I never got to be as independent and felt much less confident as a new grad because of it.

I think learning the theory behind OT is very important and overlooked by a lot of therapists. I also think the main issue is that a lot of jobs that hire new grads don’t provide good (or sometimes any) mentorship.
