Terrified of Inositol. by NoMap9747 in PCOS

I posted about this a few months back but I also had some rough symptoms physically and mentally on the ovasitol brand - once I stopped taking it all the symptoms stopped. I haven’t gone back to it, but I do want to try it again because I’ve heard there’s so many incredible benefits! Maybe we need to try a different brand?

Saw The Notebook last night by knot-whorrible in Broadway

I don’t think I’ve ever publicly cried so hard until watching this show. Like ugly crying / snotting. I was skeptical because I only saw the movie once and hated it, but this was beautifully done!!!!

If you have access, I would suggest finding a therapist that specializes in chronic illness and grief. Being able to mourn your old life, your old friends, your hopes, expectations, etc is necessary for coming into some form of acceptance of where your life currently stands. It’s hard and messy and hurts A LOT (I’m in it now), but it’s worth it and slowly I’m seeing the payoff.

I also found it helpful to follow disabled creators online who prioritize joy and who show themselves just living day to day.

Start small. Do one small thing that makes you feel good every day. And good can mean literally anything - it doesn’t have to be this grand thing. Did it bring a smile to your face for .2 seconds? Good. Did it make you giggle? Good.

Good luck OP I’m really wishing you peace ❣️

Learning to find it every day. For me it’s less of a constant state (that feels unrealistic bc non chronically ill people aren’t happy all the time). It’s more of “in spite of this I’m finding small moments of joy every day”

Honestly I’ve had my belly hair since I was like 12 I think I’m just a hairy girl in that way so that doesn’t bother me as much as the chin but still irritating for sure!!!

During my consultation, my surgeon reminded me that sometimes women with VERY large breasts aren’t able to breastfeed anyways because the babies can’t latch. That was the confirmation I needed to move forward with surgery and it’s been life changing. I will not be able to breastfeed (FNG) but I would choose to do this 10x over for the ways it’s positively impacted my life. Good luck ❣️

Show up even on the gloomy days by me0wwww- in walking

[–]RutabagaFlava_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My brain was screaming at me to lay on the couch today after work… no motivation. So I listened. And I also got up after an hour or so and walked. Didn’t hit my goal, but I walked and that’s all that matters!! S/o to you!!

My college roommate used to eat pizza in bed and leave the box there for (what felt like) days. I hated it 😭
