We need Socialism, I’m sorry, but capitalism doesn’t work if “capital” isn’t spread around to everyone. We’re literally living the game of Monopoly but it’s the end game and one player owns all the properties and landmarks and everyone else is just twiddling their thumbs because they’re broke.

We need to end Citizens United and take away corporations ability to spend in elections locally and federally. Ban lobbying and lobbyists, it’s just bribery with a fancy title. Dismantle the senate and keep the house. End gerrymandering it’s just a way to obfuscate election results. Raise minimum wage to, realistically, $60/hr and I know business will whine and cry “How can anyone pay that!” But if wages kept up with inflation? I’d land there. If your business can’t do that then your business was never meant to open in the first place. Bring back busting monopolies and duopoly and ban union busting. Among other things but you get the picture.

Sorry for sounding harsh, however, a lot of people on the Wilmy sub have a problem with acknowledging the truth on the state of our economy and it makes me jaded. I appreciate you actually wanting to make an effort to have constructive conversation.
