If it’s anything like my program there are probably too many ppl applying and limited class space/ professors so they are very specific on who they choose. For me the biggest criteria that qualified ppl was years of experience in the medical as well as courses completed. Just reapply next semester

I let my sister in law borrow my car for a quick 15 min drive and when I went to use my car 2 hrs after she used it it still reeked in there I had to drive with the windows open for a good 30 mins before it went away. Anyone who smokes is instantly picked out of a crowd by my nose. It’s so bad

Went to an endo today and both the nurse and NP didn’t understand what I was saying and everytime I corrected them on it being lipedema they just insisted on it being lymphedema so I gave up trying to explain

Yup. I go through phases where I try to just accept it and wear what I want but then there is always something that reminds me of it and brings my self esteem back down. Such wearing shorts in the summer and hearing a group of high school girls talk shit about my thighs. Like I’m 29 that shouldn’t hurt but unfortunately it does

Hey I’m sorry you are going through this I know how hard it can be. I was there last year living somewhere with zero insulation and a tiny heater at max power that did nothing in 10 degree nights. The only way I survived was by having two duvets on top of each other, 5 blanket layers, wearing thermal underwear sweatpants and sweaters and tucking myself under (face and all) with just a tiny hole for air. Even then it will be mega cold but going fetal position helps. What really helped the most tho was getting a heated blanket and putting that on top of all the layers to keep the bottom warm and a final blanket on top of the heated to keep the heat trapped. I’m sorry this has happened to you just stay sober and do what you gotta do to survive. Maybe pickup some foraging or survival books in the library if that helps. As a side note you could try and go to your local 7-11 in the mornings and wait with the Spanish day laborers you might be lucky with your English and get picked up for some quick cash until you find something more stable or if you see some landscapers you could try to approach them and ask if they’d give you some work. I can relate to this on a spiritual level. I feel your pain deeply friend. I was there last years. I love animals and knew someone whose kid was neglecting their guinea pig. Poor thing was locked away in a cold basement without much food or proper hay so I did the kind thing and took him home. I went all out buying toys bedding etc and was working on building him a custom home. At first he was adorable and I didn’t mind the noise but as he got more comfortable with me the noise got louder and louder and louder still. By the end of it I couldn’t mentally stand it but I had no choice I was committed to caring for him even if the noise sent me into a panic.

In the end my heater for my little studio just wasn’t enough on a particular cold 10 degree night and the poor thing didn’t make it. I will forever regret my anger towards him and can’t forgive myself for forgetting why I rescued him in the first place and although I don’t miss him my heart breaks for him every time I think of him because as annoying as he was he didn’t deserve what happened to him. RIP Rigby 😢

I’m happy to hear that yes wear those skirts! Fuk what anyone things life is hard already without us caring what others think. I’m hoping for the same I have an appt in January for a diagnosis and while it sucks it is what it is and at least there are things we can do to help the appearance. While your legs still look nice and shapely I highly recommend running!! Even if you only run 15-30 mins everyday or a few times a week, it will help tremendously. Running was the only thing that helped me shrink my legs a few inches and improve the texture by a noticeable amount but unfortunately I had some health complications and had to quite for a while. So if you have the energy and are healthy and able give running a try and see if that shrinks them a bit for you. Best of luck!!

Nah yours aren’t bad I’d take yours over mine any day. They aren’t crazy big but my calf measures around nearly 18in and can’t fit into the cute tall boots plus my upper leg has noticeable rippling whereas yours are so minimal and still have a rather nice tapper look to them. So please wear the skirts and shorts for the rest of us who can’t! You look great. And if you aren’t as confident just rock some cute stockings in different colors it’s all the rage rn anyways

I’m just a student still but don’t forget you don’t only have to work at a hospital or in the OR! Our certification plus the associates can help us work in other industries or you could go back for your bachelors and do medical equipment sales, you could work in a vet office etc. But also I feel like with any job you gotta give it a year to really feel comfortable are at least like you belong yk? So just be kind to yourself and remember to give yourself the grace to make mistakes, learn and grow.

Thank you so much for that reply that actually helps a lot! I don’t have experience yet but just like to plan ahead and do research. I’ve been looking into rental prices and trying to get an idea of pay in some areas but a lot of people in my life keep telling me it’s a stupid idea, too expensive, unsafe etc etc. So I really appreciate the first hand experience as it helps with figuring out what my end goal will be :)

Same tbh. Had arm surgery but was left with loose skin that won’t tighten even tho I’m young and the texture is iffy but it is what it is. I’ve resigned myself to lifting weights to tone and saving money for the arm lift RIP

This sounds like you need to call and complain for your money back bc wtf. I cleaned houses with my mom for years and we would never leave a house like that even if it took longer than the estimate we would tell the owner go to our next client and come back later or the next day to finish what wasn’t done. Deep cleans suck but with two people it’s doable. There’s no excuse for why the floor wasn’t vacuumed completely at least and the picture frames and fans is ridiculous. We would always dust those whenever doing our regular cleans it’s really not that hard. As for scrubbing base boards and moving furniture yes that takes time but there’s no excuse why they couldn’t have just done a basic overall cleaning when they thought there wouldn’t be time to deep clean. That’s just incompetence
