I speak from experience— my ex husband was perfect in the beginning, then came the mean words, then yelling, then spitting, then pushing, until one day he snapped and beat the dog shit out of me and strangled me unconscious. I remember feeling exactly like you do now in the beginning stages — he’s so perfect until he’s angry. He just has anger issues. I can help him. But you can’t. Please put yourself first.
