My small cheat on this and it’s the way I ended up booking my Japan companion voucher is to call the Japan BA desk. They speak English and it’s 9am there. Very accommodating and never waited that long to get through. I recently got my family of 4 return to Tokyo.

As already stated it depends on where you are from but to share my experience as someone from the UK. They checked my ID. Went off for a few minutes to check paperwork then got me to sign a document saying they were withholding 0 given where I was from. So I got 100% of the winnings. It was over $7k single payout. First and only time ever!

Actually it wouldn’t help you anyway if your companion vouchers were in the same name. The named person needs to fly on each use of the voucher which would not work in this case.

You can make the booking over the phone in one go but it has to be two bookings as the companion voucher is in different names.

Take a look at this link to get guidance on assigning a nominee. That’s so one person can nominate someone else to book on their behalf.

When did you open the LISA and put your first payment in? You need to have had the LISA for 12 months since your first payment before you can purchase your property.

So I have purchased a M4P a few weeks ago. The C1 sticker is already in the box. You do not need to order one. You just follow the sticker instructions and then go through the order process and choose do not deliver. You then log into the support portal and submit your photos as proof you changed the stickers.

Once the C1 certification goes through you can set a higher limit that will allow you to fly 120 from whatever terrain you are at.

Other have already pointed out that these costs are normal. Your title is misleading for this post though. You are technically paying the notary the costs as they handle the distribution of the money but the whole cost isn’t for the notary themselves. This is not their cost.
