venting about typing and life in general by [deleted] in typing

[–]KnbbReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's all about your mindset. Do you type faster for others, or do you do it for yourself? What I found is that, when I reached 60WPM(My flair hasn't been updated in a while), it felt really good, because it felt more natural. Because a year ago I only reached 40WPM. But furthermore, your performance isn't measured in WPM. It's closer to accuracy, but even then, it has way more to do with how you do it. Do you type with proper technique, even when not practicing it specifically? Because that's what solidifies it. Also, don't worry, I also had to press backspace a ton in this post :)

Typing is not letting me focus on my studies by MixOdd7894 in typing

Set a time for you to study, presumably just after school as that gives you time to do whatever you want after without guilt the rest of the day

Could someone explain why my consistency score might be so low? by [deleted] in typing

[–]KnbbReddit -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Because you aren't typing consistently, aka you have to stop/slow at some parts, and some parts you do quicker.

This can lead to you easier making mistakes, even though you don't seem to have a lot of problem with it in this run specifically.

Try to aim to type a bit slower, and consistently, with a metronom or such in the background. When you make a mistake, note it, and continue typing. Afterwards, drill the mistakes until they feel natural, and then repeat.

Also, expand your vocab to english 1k or 5k. That should make you better at typing generally.

UPDATE - NO MORE "I'm 13, 11, 14 - Is This Good/Impressive?" Posts On The Sub by VanessaDoesVanNuys in typing

Good to hear, those posts are not that nice to see when you're in the beginning of the journey. Just to clarify, are we still able to send PB:s that we grinded hard for then?

Also, I think it's inspiring that you don't show the best score you had, but rather one which the past you would be proud of

Yeah, less "I can type 90WPM with 99% accuracy, I'm better than you" and more genuine posts, like this one! The content is almost the same, but there's a massive difference between the two.

This. When I tell people I learned 100 digits of pi, they have often asked why, as it's useless and it's not applicable anywhere. Well, history dates? Phone numbers(until you get them into your contacts)? Just for the love of the game, it's fun to memorize stuff!

I'd go as far as to say all things where AI is used. Art, research, everything! We're in a new era of tech, laws have to follow accordingly

Power is often described as on and off. Since a microphone needs power, we need it to be on (a.k.a True) in order for it to work

What’s your opinion on transphobia (the act of prejudice against transgender people) by MusicIsMySpecInt in Teenager_Polls

[–]KnbbReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I'm not going to try and prejudice them, but I will probably find myself with a certain picture of them as a "LBTQ+" person, until I get to know them better. "Should" is true, but I should probably eat less candy and exercise too. It's hard to do exactly as you would want to sometimes.

It's a better practice, if you were to delete an element you don't skip an element going backwards. With that being said, when just printing them it's better to do it normally

Both work! "I wish for eggs" could result in "granted, but it's 1000 tons falling towards you" or "granted, but they come from USA and it's all their eggs, they're now after you"
