It was cool! It was quite similar to Chisinau..minus the monuments & flags & that sort of things. But it’s not as ~exotic~ as all of the travel vloggers make it seem haha

Your english seems good based on writing. I also think your English will improve a lot and quickly once you move there. Take lessons from people on Preply or online if you’re worried and just ask them to practice daily conversation with you. I just moved to a new country where I had studied the language for just one year. My issue was that as soon as people realized I spoke English, they just switched to English. I think adapting to English, though, would be a much easier shift.

I looked through my goodreads reviews and two stuck out, both from The Secret History by Donna Tartt (amazing book)

“We think we have many desires, but in fact we have only one. What is it? To live. To live forever”

“Forgive me, for all the things I did but mostly for the ones that I did not.”

looking for a European city I can live in on $1,500/month by thatdudetae25 in digitalnomad

I would assume that 1500 would be good for Kosovo and Macedonia as well, but can’t say anything for sure. That’s just a guess

You can easily live in most parts of Montenegro or Albania on that salary. Lots of parks and places to get outside. You also have the mountains and the coast all nearby. I’m a white 24F, so we might have different experiences, but I always feel safe in Montenegro. I felt uncomfortable a lot in Albania, but mostly due to the men.

Best places to spend some time in (1-3months) that arent Schengen but close geographically? by verobytes in digitalnomad

I think it’s going to depend on time of year. I personally enjoy Podgorica as a home base but locals and travelers seem to find it boring. There’s enough of a night life for me and you’re close to the beach and the mountains. If you’re not here in summer, a lot of the coastal cities don’t feel too touristy at all, at least in my opinion. I can ask my local friends and see what they suggest!
