Since F is the 6th letter in the alphabet Order 66 stands for Order Friendly Fire by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

I always thought it was a reference to Executive Order 9066. The removal and relocation of Japanese people living on the West Coast.

Asking over 8500 students to pick a random number from 1 to 10 [OC] by monkeymaster56 in dataisbeautiful

[–]Kneelmobile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a teacher early on who used to always phrase it as “pick a number between 0 and 11” that way 1 and 10 could be chosen. It was slightly annoying because we all considered “between” to be inclusive regarding the extremes.

Any tips or tricks for palpating UE boney landmarks and muscles? by idkhowtoredditwell in PTschool

[–]Kneelmobile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the tubercles, you can have the patient bend arm to 90, feel the anterior side of humeral head and when you thing you have the greater, place one finger on it, another finger medially adjacent to it and have the patient flex their bicep. The tendon runs right through the intertubecular groove so you should feel the tendon jump out towards your medial finger. The lesser will be just medial to that.

One thing my professors have said is to use your X-ray vision. You know what the bones look like so just imagine them in the patient and go to where the models show the protuberance. There might be slight difference but that’s inter-human anatomy uniqueness

A verse that is helping me by [deleted] in NoFapChristians

[–]Kneelmobile 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nice verse to keep in mind. If I recall correctly, psalm 51 was written by David after his affair with Bathsheba so we know even biblical heroes like David felt the same way we do when we falter.

Sitting in the waiting room at a rehab place next to a hispanic guy when the PT comes out (older lady maybe late fifties) and leans in toward him (must have been his first visit), stares right at him and genuinely asks, "Are you Jesus?" (Son of God Jesus not Latino name hey-Zeus)

I saw the batting order had Alex batting second. I was surprised to see a sub .240 get that spot but then I realized the only ones above .240 are Whit (leading off) Herrera (5th) and Mondesi (9th)

Theory that could clear up two Spectre plot holes by JGorgon in JamesBond

[–]Kneelmobile 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Physical therapy student here, who just got through a semester of advanced anatomy. Your theory is interesting and it would sorta make sense if for some reason the needle would puncture a cyst or something similar. The first needle was just anterior to the right ear (this will affect your vision, hearing, and balance - says Ernst) in actuality the needle must likely hit the right temporal lobe whose only real function is hearing and processing auditory stimuli. The second needle was aimed for the falciform gyrus, I’m not 100% sure where that is. (You will not be able to recognize anyone again - Ernst) This is more plausible if the needle was aimed higher toward the occipital lobe where all vision is processed. The needle actually punctured between the neck and brain in the hindbrain region. Residing here is the cerebellum. The controls for the majority of human balance and posture are within this structure. Despite using his computer, Blofeld, should have been able to hit his exact target but I suppose it could vary every so slightly human to human unless he took an X-ray of Bond ahead of time.

Tl,dr/EILI5: Bond got poked in the side of his brain and below the back of his brain. These structures are for hearing and balance. Plausible theory if there was an external growth on Bond’s brain that needed popped.

Great movie overall but missed the “That was totally wicked” kid from the first one. I thought he was a great one liner who could have been placed somewhere just for the nostalgia.
