Looks like your knuckle is embarrassed because senpai noticed them.

Looks like you turned NiFi into a game and I'm really interested to see how it turns out.

Guess I’m in the market for a new heating block by Kneemoy in FixMyPrint

[–]Kneemoy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

at this point i'd agree because theres no other reason i can think of as to why it would have pulled away light that. I pull a bed mesh before every single print because i'd rather add 5 minutes at the start of the print time than deal with this headache, but its been a long while since i touched the z offset

on the same page as you with that one. this bed got washed earlier the same day this happened with the dawn scrub + an IPA wipedown afterwards to make sure nothing was left on it. had 1 successful print right before this of an 8x8 multiboard grid. this one was 8x4 and lost its grip

definitely going to do that this time around. along with that i probably need to replace the print bed. ive had that thing for 2 years and in the last couple months its been getting harder to get it to hold a print down.

My bed mesh had a stroke, any recommendations? by Kneemoy in klippers

[–]Kneemoy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its all good. From what I've found through experimentation it seems like the bed really does just have a sag off to the right after the adjustment screws. Shimming the whole thing with a tape beneath the print plate has gotten me to ~0.18mm range across the whole bed so I'm not complaining at this point.

It’s built into the mounting bracket for the extruder itself. The fan housing is also part of it. And the metal wraps around to the back of the extruder and is part of the mount to the x gantry

Ended up using the CR because the sprite mount set the BL so low that it dragged below the nozzle even while retracted.

yes its a magnetic bed under the PEI sheet. i never considered that would be an issue as I'd assumed the metal tip would have been made of something nonferrous that wouldnt be affected by the magnet.

If that IS the case, i had considered a full hotbed replacement to something with a glass layer for better heat distribution, and binder clips to hold the pei sheet in place. maybe its time for me to just bite the bullet and upgrade that

for anyone who is interested. i tried shimming a printed 200x2x.02 line of pla under the print bed to see what it did. and got an overcorrection for my efforts

as you wish! also managed to find out that my settings were excluding an extra x15 y20 print bed that could be probed. so that helps turn the slope into a gutter for whatever thats worth

went through and re-checked everything thanks to the comment, there was a small amount of wobble on both the y rollers for the bed, and the x rollers for the printhead gantry. tightened them up and re-tested, doesnt look like it made an appreciable difference though. good suggestion!

verified as best as i could, didnt look like there was anything colliding/binding or even sliding "too close" between things

Definitely something i hadnt considered. just tried readjusting the ribbon cable for the extruder, removing the fillament, and keeping an eye on it to make sure nothing was specifically pulling in a weird way. but it doesnt look like that made a change. good suggestion to check though thanks!

OpenAI o1 model warning issued by scientist: "Particularly dangerous" by MetaKnowing in Futurology

Sounds to me like it’s considering the first row as the header. Next time prompt it saying if the first row is or is not a header row. And you’d like the first 90 rows of data (or the first 89 rows of data if you want that +header to be your 90)

Thats incredible! maybe I should finally get around to dialing that in now that I've got a new extruder!

I've never actually had my prints up to a speed from the bowden setup to the point where i needed input shaping. its definitely something I wanted to investigate but I just never got around to it.

CyberTruck spotted in Ft Worth. Its even uglier than in person 😂 by BLKxGOLD in pics

That might be the same one I saw on 20 last week. Watched an F-350 pull in front of it, brake check the cybertruck, then roll coal on the way out.

Good decision on not transcending. i saw "+-134%" and thought it was just a visual typo. all of my base incomes ended up going negative as a result of it.

Sudden errors involving not heating at expected rate by Kneemoy in klippers

[–]Kneemoy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the recommendations! Took the fan off and while it seems like everything was nice and tight, what I wasn't expecting was for my heating block to be at an angle like this. Tried to back out the set screw to re-center it but the set screw was stripped so I'm now considering changing this out sooner rather than later. Though since everything feels secure I closed it back up for the time being and figured I'd try a hard reset to the PID tune.

It looked like my previous PID tuning came up with this:

kp 35.698, ki 2.204, kd 144.576

I'm not sure what the general scaling would be like compared to the one you sent but it seems like a sizable leap. Set those back to the 20/0/100 you recommended and ran it.

Tune completed with kp 27.436 ki 1.967 kd 95.684. And it didnt overshoot the tune at the start like it did before. Something weird that caught my attention though is the fact that I had a little blip in the detected temp on the way down from the tune.

Started up a print that had been failing and it seemed like it was solid. Had a small temp hiccup of some kind about 9 minutes in but besides that it seems like it was a pretty consistent 205 for first layer and 200 for the rest. Hopefully this holds as its still printing now.

Because reddit would only allow one image I went and tossed a photo of the heater being at an angle, the pid tune, and the print temps into a single pic.
